Sound - one speaker broken

I have a Sansa e250 but I'm sure the solution will be similar to any other brand... When playing music at a low level both left/right speakers work ok but anything over half volume the right speaker cuts out or crackles. :( HAVE TRIED: *If I unplug the speaker jack from the mp3 player then as I slowly re-connect both speakers regain sound briefly before right speaker blanks out A G A I N.. *different songs.(same problem) *different speakers.(same problem) *lost the reciept so can't return.(or can I?) PLEASE HELP.

thanks mike but turns out it was the headphone jack...

I pulled it apart and got a TV repair man to do the extreamly fine soldering for $20.
(for anyone thinking to do the same dont pay any more than what you think is fair price because its a very easy fix but will void your warranty)

I suggest try updating the firmware of the player. Have you tried listening to the FM station to see if it is only the songs that are being affecter? Also try to use another headphone.

Cannot get music on or off of MP3 player.

The 260 you can remove the screws on back cover and remove the battery and replace to reset, not sure on the 250, you might also want to go their website and download the latest firmware updates.

Audio is messed up!

First, make sure you didn't download an instrumental.
Second, make sure the files are in a format that the player recognizes.
If both conditions hold, then upgrade the firmware - you have a corrupt DB.

Sansa

Hi,

From initial appearances, it would seem that you are running out of disk space with your Sansa e250. Should this have happened, there is a strong possibility that the filing system would also have been corrupted. The best would be to reformat and/or perhaps even to re-install the firmware. This is so as to start fresh/anew.

Incidentally, computerrep, anoother resident expert is with Sansa/Sandisk, you may have better luck with his able assistance. In a similar concern, he has posted this solution.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Sansa c250 or e250 mp3 player

the price is pretty similar, the size would be my main concern. The e250 is wider and heavier then the c250, but the interface and the scroll wheel might be worth the extra bulk, if size isn't an issue, and you wanna be able to play videos then the e250 is the one. if you want something small just for music on the go c250 is your toy.

Sansa MP3 player charges, plays while plugged into wall, but not unplugged.

When you plug it into the wall make sure you turn it off and let it charge all the way before you start using it again. see if that helps
