SOURCE: Goodman GMS90904CXA Wont ignite, light blinks 3 times

Ok, you either have a inducer fan issue or a pressure switch issue or a plugged vent pipe. The inducer turns on to establish a draft for the exhaust. If it is not working you will get this error code. If the pressure switch does not sense pressure caused by the inducer, it will give this code. If either the intake pipe or exhaust pipe is blocked (even y just a little) it will give you the same error code. If the condensate hose or receptical is plugged, again it will give you this error code. Good Luck!

SOURCE: 1993 goodman status light 4 times blinking

I have a goodman GMP075-3 that won't turn on. I think it is the pressure switch since I do not have a vent blockage. What is a venter and where can I find it??

SOURCE: goodman furnace went out. Light

Your main limit switch is activated. Maybe for good reason. This switch keeps the furnace from overheating. I have the same problem right now and I think my a/c coil may be blocked, limiting air flow through the heat exchanger and the furnace. Does your gas and main circulating fan come on for a few minutes before the switch activates and the light begins blinking?

Check your furnace filter and any return air ducts in your home - see if they are blocked or restricted.

SOURCE: my furnace tries three times then red light blinks once

On a call for heat, the 24 volt thermostat sends a signal to the control module. The control module will indicate a call for heat with a light on the control either blinking or remain solid depending upon model. The inducer (exhaust) blower will purge all gasses from the furnace and pressurize a pressure switch. Once the pressure switch tells the module to continue, the electronic ignition will energize and send 120 volts to the igniter. The igniter will glow and you will be able to see it if viewed thru the small inspection port. Once the igniter gets hot enough, it sends a signal to the module opening up the gas valve (24 volts). Either a pilot will come on or the burner tube will ignite then spread the flame to all burners. Lastly a safety sensor will be looking for a certain temperature within a few seconds and the furnace will continue to operate and the room air blower will turn on in a minute or two.

What could go wrong? The unit will not run if there is no signal from the thermostat (bad thermostat or broken wire), the control module does not sense a signal from the thermostat (bad control), the inducer does not energize (bad motor), the pressure switch does not close (blocked vent piping, bad switch, plugged condensate hose), the igniter does not energize (bad control, bad igniter), the gas valve does not open or there is no gas (bad gas valve, broken wire, no gas), the pilot does not light (dirty pilot), the burner does not light (bad burner, plugged orifice, not enough combustion air), the flame does not spread to each burner (bad flame spreader, dirty flame spreader, more bad burners), the flame safety sensor does not detect flame (dirty or bad flame spreader, bad flame sensor, broken wire, bad control), or the room air blower does not energize (bad fan motor, bad control).

Your furnace has a diagnostic chart on the reverse of the lower panel incorporated in the wiring diagram. One blink tells you that it is a failure but wont tell you where to start looking.

SOURCE: My goodman furnace will start to ignite, then it

Another part that you might want to check is the flame sensor. It is a very good chance that this is the problem, the stat calls for heat, the induced draft motor (little motor on from of furnace), ignitor comes on, the main burner fires, just for a second or two, the burner shuts down, the main blower motor defaults to blower on!
If this is the issue;
Then this is what you do to fix it, kill power to the furnace, look where the burners are, to the left side there is a little wire, usually yellow or orange running to what kinda looks like a spark plug, one screw should be holding it to the burner bracket. take it out, at the end of the white porcelain is a small metal rod sticking out, it probably has a slight bend in it.
take some steel wool, or sand paper and clean the rod till is is nice and shiny, NOTE: when you take it out, it won't look really dirty, maybe just like a pencil lead,,,,it is dirty!
Just use the sandpaper and clean the rod till it looks like metal, "do not sand the white porcilen". Put the part back in and turn the power back on and run the furnace as usual.
90 % chance that this will fix your problem.
The rod get a build-up on it from the sulfur that is added to the gas, and has a hard time passing the milli-volt signal back to the furnace computer, which is passed from the ignitor, through the flame, to the sensor! This way the computer knows that all of the burners are firing and it is safe to run!
Please take time to come back and rate me, or contact me with any further questions!
Have a warm day :)
Sincerely,
Paul Gibson

NOTE!!
Do not touch the ignitor! The part that gets bright and hot! Even when it is cold, the oil on your fingers will cause it to burn out.

Goodman furnace not heating, low fire pressure switch stuck open.

Question edited for typos.

Gas furnaces has safety features to prevent explosions. If anything is thought to be faulty, nothing works. All gas appliances must be repaired by a registered gas technician. The two pressure switches are $76 and $29 if you want to risk it.

Goodman furnace model gmp125-4 constant fast blinking red light on circuit board, furnace dont work, have moisture in bottom from seeping drip pan under acoil

There should be a chart pasted to the inside of the front access panel of the furnace. It will tell us what that particular blinking sequence means. Goodman isn't listing a gmp125-4 furnace so I need to assume it is a condensing gas furnace. I water has backed up into the draft inducing fan, the furnace will shut down. There is no reason for water dripping from the drain pan unless your A/C is running and the drain on the pan is plugged. Give me all the info. you can and exactly what is happening. Please look up the coded problem for me. I'll watch for your reply. I hope this is not too late to help.

Goodman furnace model#GCH90904CXAB the red light

This model is equiped with a diagnostic error control. Take off the front panels and look for a wiring diagram pasted on the reverse side of the panels. On this diagram there will be a chart telling you what 4 blinks represent and where to start looking for the issue. I suspect the air filter may be dirty or the pressure switch may be bad, however make sure the condensate hoses are free of any debris. Good luck to you!

Goodman Furnace m/n GKS90453BKAC

A constant red light (not blinking) indicates that the thermostat is not calling for heat. Of course you know it is but just to be safe, jump out R and W on the board. If it continues to do the same as you indicated, replace the board.
