SOURCE: feedback

That is a great mic. It has a lot to do with the room your in and acoustics of it. If you are too close to your PA or monitor, it will also feedback. Lowering treble and reverb will also help.

SOURCE: Is there a way to open up a Shure Beta 58A?

Once you remove the grill, there is a C-Clip that holds the cartridge down into the handle. Use some c-clip pliers to pull the c-clip out of the handle. The c-clip will remain around the post on the cartridge, but that's ok.

SOURCE: can you tell me how to remove the mic head off a

The Beta 58A head simply unscrews from the handle (just below the grill). It will fit all Shure handheld transmitters.

How to take apart a shure pg58 microphone

"PG58" is just the capsule on top. That capsule has been offered on many Shure wireless. We would need to know the model number of the transmitter (it is inside the battery compartment).

Shure mx418 stopped working

There is no fuse. The capsule may be loose (on the end under the plastic wind screen). See is the phantom power is turned off on your mixer, if it is or is not working the mic will not work. Try a seperate connection, you may have a bad wire.

Shure sm58 Wireless Capsule how to open

The Shure wireless mic that has the switches on the side is tricky to open. The first thing is to take the cover off the switches and do NOT lose the two buttons. To remove the plastic cover very CAREFULLY pry up with a knife point near the center from one side. There is a plastic tab at each end of the little plastic part that is easily broken. by prying at the center of one side these tabs are pulled in a little and will release. There is not much that is serviceable within the wireless part so it is kind of a moot point to open it. When installing the buttons back one has to align each before snapping the cover back on.

With the -10dB pad setting, still get distortion with loud singers using SLX Wireless Microphone. Need a mod to say -20dB pad. thanks

Yes I have this exact problem myself. Work for nightclub and our original Shure wireless was fine and we replaced it with an slx. We have MCs that really yell into the mic. I'm gonna try and find an older 58 capsule to pit on it and see how that goes. The mic would probally be fine with normal singers.

Sm 58 dropped and cuts out

Under which circumstances did it fail? Might be due to internal wiring getting loose or a damaged capsule after you have dropped it. Can you take it apart to confirm that?
