I accidentally plugged my 110v xbox into 220v and of course it burnt and wont turn on. Is it possible to use it again or i have to buy a new one? and how much will it cost me for parts and repairs?
If you can obtain a new power supply unit(external, of course), sometimes referred to as a "Brick", that would be your best first test. However, if that doesnt work, then the unit is pretty much cooked. It is not recommended that you disassemble your unit and attempt to repair it yourself, though if its that broken, you dont have much to lose, unless it's under warranty. At that point, you'd be at a loss for parts, as they dont really sell Xbox parts in your local electronics store. So what you're looking at is either a fried brick, or fried internal hardware. Could be a cheap fix in the former, or a new unit in the latter, there. Check Ebay or similar sites to find a replacement external power unit. As with any tech problem, fix the cheap part first :)
