Do both systems run XP? Also, check the driver files on your PC, and test it with another card of the same make. Is the write-protection switch set to on? Test the card reader with other formats of cards, if it is a multiple reader, just to make sure that it is functioning at all.

MY memory stick can be seen and read in my pc but doesnt work on my psp

  • Flash Storage:
  • Memory Stick PRO Duo Expansion Slot pspphatmodelnumber.gif pspslimmodelnumber.gif pspbritemodelnumber.gif
  • Memory Stick Micro Expansion Slot pspgomodelnumber.gif
All flash storage, including Memory Sticks and internal flash, uses the FAT32 file system. http://us.playstation.com/support/answer/index.htm?a_id=1055

The above shows how to format the Memory Stick PRO Duo in the PSP so the correct file structure will be shown.

Be sure to back up any data on the Memory Stick PRO Duo before doing this as all data will be lost on the Memory Stick PRO Duo device.

My psp memory card dont let me put stuff in

you may have to format the card. Also make sure your card is not placed in the lock position.
How to Fix a PSP Memory Stick
  1. Step 1 Upgrade your PSP's Firmware (its operating system) before doing anything else. Firmware 5.0 solves many software problems that are encountered with older memory sticks. You can upgrade it by simply connecting your PSP to any wireless connection through its WiFi. Once a connection is established, the PSP will update itself automatically.
  2. Step 2 Check to see that your memory stick's plastic tongs, the small sticks that separate each connection, are straight. If one is bent, your PSP will not recognize the stick.
  3. Step 3 Remove your memory stick if it still does not work. Insert it into a PC with a memory stick slot. You will most likely be able to see all of your saved files. If so, continue to the next step. If you still cannot see your files, then your memory stick is defective, and it is not the PSP's fault.
  4. Step 4 Copy your files from the memory stick to the hard drive.
  5. Step 5 Format your memory stick using the "Format Disk" option in Windows. Open Windows Explorer, and find your memory stick listed in the "Drives" section. Right-click on the memory stick, and click "Format." Follow the on-screen instructions in the windows that pop up.
  6. Step 6 Insert your memory stick into your PSP. It should recognize the disk now. However, you now need to format the memory disk again with the PSP.
  7. Step 7 Go the PSP main menu, and select "Settings." Then select "Format Memory Disk."
  8. Step 8 Put your memory stick back in your PC, and return the files you removed earlier. When you reinsert the stick into your PSP, it should now see all the files.

No source will read my memory stick pro duo mark 2

  1. Try re-formatting your memory stick from your PSP console. A memory stick that is formatted from a PC or other hand held console sometimes cause incompatibility problem with the PSP.
  2. If your PSP still can not read the memory stick, try checking your memory stick by using your friends PSP and see if they can access the memory stick.
  3. If the memory stick can be accessed by your friends PSP then there is a problem with the memory slot of your PSP.
  4. The only way to check the contacts of the memory slot of your PSP is to disassemble you PSP and take out the mother board.

I've formatted my 4 gig memory in a pc , but when it is unable to read in the psp

Format it with your PSP not your PC, you pc will read the format from your psp but not vice versa because you are probably formatting it NTFS and not FAT16 or FAT32, the psp has its own way o formatting it. Thanks

Problem accessing memory stick

I had the same problem. I bought a 2 gig memory pro-duo with the adapter and it gave me that error even though it fit just fine. I then tried a 512 memory stick and a 1 gig memory stick and neither one worked it gave me the C:13:01 error code. So I found out the hard way that the camera will not read it. The Sony DSC-S85 will not take memory above a 128. Try the Lexar 64MB memory stick. I just bought 4 and they work perfectly fine.
