Question about Logitech Cordless Click! Mouse

1 Answer

Logitech mx lazer cordless rechargable mouse

This is the cordless version that recharges. It will charge ok (you cannot take this one apart nor does it have batteries you can change) have check usb connection fine, pressed connect button on charger seems to be working. Left hand side lights on mouse say 3 bars so fully charged, have tried reset button on bottom. The optical light on the bottom is the one that will not come on or work. the mouse is a few years old so wondering if it just might be toast.

What do you mean by optical light? According to my resources, the optical light is not supposed to show. It's IR, so its not visible to the human eye. If you mean an actual LED light, let me know. This will further help me investigate your issue.

How do i charge the mouse

Has it got a housing? If not, then you'll need to open it and either recharge (if rechargeable) or replace the batteries.

How do you change battery in logitech mouse?

Hello, if it's a rechargeable mouse, then take a look on youtube for some really good directions on how to take your mouse apart-you can get a new battery from ebay...details also on youtube. If it's a 'normal' mouse with non-rechargeable batteries, then (certainly on my model) slide off the back half of the top cover. (Slide it rear-wards) Regards Nicam49

Batteries will not recharge on stand. Have used different rechargeable batteries but same result

It could be the metal contacts that's used for recharging the mouse that isn't making a proper connection. The most common cause for this, would be dirt & oil that would build up on the charging contacts over time.

I would try to clean the contacts with a dry tissue paper on both the mouse and the charging stand and see if the mouse will charge properly again.

If that doesn't work, then maybe it's just the recharging circuit inside the mouse that's broken.
