The device can only be powered up by plugging it in and only turned off by depowering and allowing the 30 second timeout to expire. If I abort the timeout the device will run for many hours on its internal battery. I downloaded & installed "StreetPilot c310/c320/c330 (region file only) software version 6.10" and have reset the device. Since some of the reset procedures call for the power button to be depressed, I do not believe that those procedures actually happened.

Dig out the chrome frame in front with a letter opener or knife..........behind it is a reset button.

SOURCE: Failed to calibrate keyboard of my Nuvi 205w
Please see this page for recalibration procedure. If that doesn't work, then then the touchscreen needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: C330 will not power up when plugged into power receptacle in car
First, check the car's power receptacle by plugging in another device that definitely works (or take your gps to another car). Cars generally have a fuse associated with the receptacle that can blow. The second most likely problem is that the internal battery inside the c330 has died. This is especially likely if the unit is old (more than 1 year) and if you live in a climate with extreme heat or cold (which reduces battery life). This video shows how to replace the battery:
The company that
produced the video sells a kit which includes the battery and tools
necessary to replace the battery yourself. See: http://www.newpower99.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=GARMIN+STREETPILOT+C330&Show=ExtInfo
I swapped the battery of my brother's dying GPS using the
aforementioned kit and all went well. His Garmin is back up and running
smoothly.
Hope this helps.

Have you checked the fuses in the power cable? There is a reset button under the front bezel. Try pressing that to see if your unit comes back to life too.
Cheers
Perform a D-Link Router reset
Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.
Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button.
Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.
Step 4 Release the Reset button.
Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting.
Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults.
Note: Do not recycle power during the reset procedure. The default user name for most D-Link devices is admin and the password is left blank.
When it says hold for about 10 seconds, don't hold for more than ten seconds or the procedure will likely fail, if ten seconds doesn't work try 5 seconds.
Then:
Shutdown your PC. Unplug the power from the router and the cable modem. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response Thanks, Joe
Wait 30 sec. then plug in the power to the cable modem, wait 30 sec. then plug the power to the router. Wait till you have "Internet" light then restart your PC. The PC should pick up an IP address and you should be able to get on-line. This is if you have a cable service provider. If you have DSL, the router needs to be configured with PPOe.
