Re: now it squeals when turned on
That is a CTC203 chassis that is VERY difficult to estimate without seeing it... The "squeal" symptom you described indicates that the HOT (horizontal output transistor) has shorted. (Q14401 RCA p/n#242224 (2sd2578)). But I would not stop there... Check also: Q14101 RCA p/n#244223, R14107 p/n#244214 (43 Ohm 1/4 Watt) and really go over the underside of the board for poor solder connections.
Tri State Module can rebuild that board to like new for $100.00 dollars plus shipping. and even if a shop locally did the teardown and re-assembly that's a lot cheaper than the cost of a new TV of comaprable value.
Hope this helps!

Now,tv on?.Tv "LAMP" LED light indication flashes or stay on?How long the Lamp been inside this tv,been inside like 1 1/2 or 2 years and tv been on each day like 4 or 5 hours a day in used. The lamp life are over.Should replace another lamp.
Dont worry, the problem is coincidental to you installing the Wii. You need a new lamp.
What you are seeing is the lamp ballast/power supply attempting to start and restart your lamp. The resistance of your lamp to it's power source has increased to the point that it is shutting down, but has not blown out yet. You can find these at justlamps.com
If your TV is turning on by itself at about the same time each day you may have a timer activated, turn it it off, the TV's micro might need too be reset. To reset unplug your TV from the a/c outlet for at least 5 minutes.
As far as fixing goes, you might as well get a new TV... Unless its a LARGE EXPENSIVE HOLY $%^# TV, It will cost more to fix, than to just buy a new one, unless its under warranty, which being an older model as that (or so im reading) It may not be covered.
Try unplugging the TV, and while unplugged, hold down the power button for a full minute (yes, with the plug NOT in the wall) after a minute, plug it back in, and try. Its a hard reset. If it still does not work, and you've tried different outlets, It's probably a repair issue, and you'll need to get someone to fix it, or just junk it :-/
