Battery lid broken

I cannot keep my batteries in as the lid is broken. Where can I find a new lid?

My camera is having this problem as well. I also have the Kodak DX6340 that the battery door is COMPLETELY broken. This model's battery door is just cracked for now. But it seems to be a manufacturer's defect that they are unwilling to fix. Any suggestions. Thanks!

This is a common problem with the CX7300 - some people have resorted to using tape &/or rubber bands.

Also you may want to make this repair at a service center as the change of the lid may require to dissasemble your camera. Also, they could have replacement parts you may try to ask them also.

SOURCE: Battery lid or cover

I have a s5500 with the battery lid clips broken.. fuji says ,, nope no warranty on that part ,, what a joke,,$120 dollars labour plus parts and freight for repair... anyway ,, went to jaycar (electrical supplies etc) and found a small metal clip/ fastener that I used on an existing exterior screw below where the strap is located. i then placed another screw in the lid that allows the remainding hole in the fastener to slip over, works like a charm. took me around 3 minutes to do and does not affect the grip on the camera and still alllows it to be easily opened and closed. I am most pleased i now have my camera back.

I have a kodak colorburst 250 (EK160-EF) and something is wrong with the battery lid. It keeps sliding out with any movement. How do I fix this? Will the camera still work without the battery lid?

Those lids have a small lock that maintains them closed. Obviously the one in your camera is broken. They also have a switch that shuts energy of when they are open. Take to a qualified service in order to replace the broken part.

Can battery compartment be repaired when tabs are broken off which hold lid down?

possibly...if it is the body where the tabs are broken off the manufacturer (Olympus) might be able to replace the body shell. I'd check with them.

Keep putting in new batteries but the camera power on then when I turn the camera back on the camera do not come on

Hi,the problem you are encountering is definately a power problem which is possibly from a broken little switch under the battery lid.Here is the solution;
1.Check the little switch beneath the battery lid,it might be missing or broken,if it's broken you have to solder it bact to its place with the help or a soldering iron,if its missing you have to purchase another one from a part shop.

2.A temporary solution(maybe permanent),you can jump a tiny connecting wire on the switch, which makes it on a constant on status.
NOTE;by doing so,you won't have the battery lid detect function. The camera can be turned on even when the battery lid is open.

Thanks and take care

My batterry door is broken I don't know how to put

KODAK doesn't sell battery doors for any of their models.

A repair for this fault is 24,47 pounds + shipping to the repair centre.
If you already have the battery door; I suggest you will have a local camera TECH to attach the door to the unit.

EVERYTIME I CUT MY CAMERA ON IT CUTS RIGHT BACK OFF

Your camera continually shutting off (added with the fact that the battery cover is broken) probably means that your batteries are not making good contact with the hatch lid. You need to strap that battery cover down tight after your sure the batteries are installed correctly. Keep in mind, your going to have to strap that puppy back down every time you change batts. Let me know if this will help you.
