Question about Shredder 1052 (Cross-Cut)

Infoguard shredder jam

I think I overloaded my 10-page crosscut shredder by putting a bit too much in a couple weeks ago. TOday I emptied the bucket, which was full, but it still won't work. When I hit Reverse, there's power and it sounds like normal grinding. But when I try to insert a piece of paper on Normal, nothing happens - no sound. I can see that there's a bit of paper stuck in the front, though there's nothing I can pull through, just little bits. Is there a way to remove the stuck paper, eliminate the jam, or otherwise reset it? I'm under time pressure on this. thanks much

After paper jam, cleaned out the protruding paper.  Motor doesn't run, no reverse nor forward.

There is paper jammed in the shredder which will not pass through and causes additional pages added to the shredder to pull to the other side

When you set it to reverse, it Should propel the paper back out the top, where it's jammed. If it does not, remove power to the unit, and get ready for the long laborious process of removing the jam with a pair of tweezers. A hazard of paper shredders, maintenance can be a bit on the silly side.

This shredder was given to me couple years ago and this is the first time the overload light came on. Could you explain what it means? Thank you

Have you ever emptied the container that contains the shredded documents? If not, then do so.

Or, are you feeding too many pages in at one time, thus "over-loading" it?
When the rollers that pull the paper into the shredder-blades are detected as not spinning as fast as they should be spinning, you have a "jam".

Put the rollers into "reverse" and eject the unshredded pages.
Then put the rollers into "normal" mode, and feed 1/2 of the bundle of pages.

I have a Royal CX 66 Crosscut shredder and attempted to shred 10 pages. The unit shredded 1/2 of the papers and the other 1/2 are stuck in the shredder; the reverse mode will not release the papers. Is...

The Royal cx-6 shredder is a small consumer shredder rated for "up to 6 sheets at a time" so yes it will jam with anything more that 6.
If running it in reverse won't work you will have to try to open it up and see if you can manually turn things to get the paper back out...there is no other way if it wont run in reverse...hopefully when you have the paper removed the machine will still function.

Infoguard SX 120D Does not power up. No lights

There is a switch on the right side of the shredder itself which has to engage with a tab welded near the top of the basket. Make sure the tab is enagaging the switch. Also check the paper path switch right above the shredder bars.

If you cannot figure this out, please do not pitch the shredder. There a few people here (myself included) that need gears and such from this model. We would gladly pay shipping for such.

Royal CIA12 crosscut shredder overload light came on.

Unplug immediately and wait 20 mins to see if motor will "cool-down"...when plugged back in hopefully the Overload light will be OFF....unless you have it completely jammed up in which case try running it in reverse if the overload light is OFF.
If the overload light wont go out you may need Royal at 1-800-524-0799 for further parts assistance.

The unit shuts down after using for 4-5 minutes and I smel burnig

Sadly, light duty machines as yours do overheat and shut off. Shredders are rated for run time. An example: 4 min run time with 60 min off to cool down. I could not find your machine's rating. However, given the 10 page volume I would guess the rating close to the 4 min on.
High volume shredders are rated as continuous run. They should never over heat.

Infoguard SX100M Shredder - motor on but not feeding paper

I have a SX100M and it runs in reverse but not in forward. I went to used it one day and it didn't work. I don't see anything jammed in it. I bought it 3 years ago but it has hardly been used. Can it be fixed

I have the Infoguard SX-100M Axeus, sold by Staples.
Only the reverse was working, UNPLUG and open back cover, the paper mechanical switch was working fine, the gears and fuse was ok, I think something on the circuit board was fried.
I switched the BLACK and WHITE wires with each other going to the shredder motor, thus when I switched it to reverse, it would go foward and shred. Its working now, only in reverse.
