Water works fine - No Ice

I have 2 of the large Hoshizaki machines Model DCM-270BAH. One of them stopped making ice 5 days ago and now the other has quit. The water works fine on both. I just had a repair man in that replaced one of the small motors under the front panel of one machine but that hasnt fixed the problem. Any ideas?

Does it sound like everything is running, only the machine isnt makinf ice? If so, there is a small triangular housing with a hose connected to the small motor on the left under the front panel. shut off the machine and remove the 3 screws on the triangular housing. inside there is a spring and a round rubber disk. take these items out and clean them. its amazing a tiny amount of debris will cause this to not work. install the reverse as you removed thewm, turn the power on.

check water line is open, check filter seated properly,make sure of on/off lever or switch or turn off water supply to fridge and check line for possible clog, and also on filter

Hoshizaki M# DCM-270BAH-OS runs for days then freezes up evap coil and stops water inlet to evap.

There is a thermostat probe sat on the front of the evaporator to tell the control board when to harvest. Check it is tight in it's holder. Check the condenser is absolutely clean and filters clear. You can adjust the thickness of the cube. set it on the thinnest setting and see if it harvests before freezing solid.

Hoshizaki km-900maf / water was turned off for 5 days / machine was left running /wash setting works but wont go into freeze cycle / just beeps

try resetting the the "reset" button on the control board. it may be just that simple.

I have a model # f-450 mah ice machine. After the bin gets full of ice it stops making the ice but the water continues to run and runs out of the machine. Any ideas on how to stop this?

Sounds like the water valve is stuck. Probably needs replacing. Turn off water after machine shuts down and see if water stops. If it does, water valve is most likely the issue.

Hoshizaki ice maker am-50bae . Made ice regularily--- filled ice bin half way...next day-- all ice melted away with no more new ice? next day shut off for 3 hours now o new ice.

make a few quick checks. If there are water filters on the system, be sure they are not restricked. Could be clogged. Next, check the bin stat. It usually is mounted in the ice bin. If it breaks or goes bad, it shuts down the machine. Start there and let me know if I can be of any further help.

Hoshizaki ice machine makes ice but won't drain. Makes ice but won't drain properly, after about 3 or 4 days water starts leaking out of the machine onto the floor. Removed all ice and water and repeated...

My first question is, does the drain have a vent in it? If not, you may need to install one to be able to break the vacuum experienced when the unit flushes after a drop of ice. The vent will be a tee off the drain and a stand pipe that goes up about 5-10" vertical. My next question is has the drain in the plumbing (not the ice machine) been flushed, snaked or tested to see if it can handle the amount of water the ice maching dumps?
