My camera wont take pictures

I have a sanyo pink 7.1 mega and everytime i go and take a picture my camera goes black and shuts off. i have a big party tommorw and i need this camera to work

i have the same exact camera..
it takes batteries. i just put new batteries in it and the screen still goes black when i go to take a pic! ugh and i just bought it brand new too!

I have the same problem also. I have used the camara only a few times. My son is going to First Communion on Mothers Day. I would like to be able to used it. If someone knows the answer to this problem please let us know.

DFid you try to shoot a picture, even not seeing what you are shooting? Try it. Then ale check what happens if you press the display button, (left one under the Menu / set buttons)

Everytime i click the button down to take a picture nothing happens...it wont take pictures. what is wrong

My wife`s Kodak Easyshare V1253 has to be reset (date and time) every time we replace the battery. What could the problem be? Also, it takes too long to take one picture from another (probably setting...

Regarding the date and time, Actually its normal everytime you removed the battery you need to reset the date its is because the camera doesnt have a internal or built-in battery that can run the internal clock or maintain the date settings.,

Regarding the taking picture that will take time, it is because your using a too high mega pixel of the camera, Higher mega pixel will have a bigger file size and it will take to process the picture. the best thing you can do is to lower the Mega pixel or the picture size make it atleast 5MP or 6MP., I can guarantee to you you will have a great picture outcome and lessen the time of processing picture.

By the way you can lower the mega pixel (picture size)by pressing the menu button of your camera

Use a card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop.

In the first case, if the camera turns off by itself with lens not retracting, try fresh alkaline battery. If that does not work, then the ribbon cable from battery charger to mainboard inside the camera is probably causing the problem.
An internal contact can also cause same problem.

If instead pictures are completely black, then there are several possible reasons:

1 There is a setting problem, remove and put back batteries to fix the problem.
2 The camera curtain is stuck and it is not opening.
3 The CCD sensor is faulty, more likely the ccd sensor contacts are broken.
4 The lens assembly has an internal problem.

Apart situation 1 , in all the remaining cases the camera will need repair.

That sounds like a serious circuit board problem.
There is no way around getting it repaired by a tech.

TV Picture is tinted pink

depending on how much you paid for the tv , the cost of the repair may be more than the tv is worth. but if this is a large tv , then the repair would be most likely worth it

Wont take pictures when i press the button

Ours is doing the same thing except we aren't in warranty. Had the camera 6 months and Sanyo wants $85 to fix it. I'll never buy Sanyo again. Take it back while you still can.

The sound with the sanyo(vpc-5500) digital camera

I thought my pink sanyo VPC-5500 was messed up, but once I imported my pictures and viceos onto my computer, I opened up a vidoe player and the sound worked perfectly. So if you have the USB cable, hook your gigtal camera up to your computer and import what's on it, then you will be able to open up a video player and watch a video that was stored on it.
