Slide mechanism is stiff

When I went out to use the saw this morning the slide mechanism was almost stuck, it turned it over and lubed, helped some, but still seems to be a drag on the tube mechanism

Linear bearing problem
clean them with brake cleaner and compressed air
the balls should roll freely in the grooves inside bearings
push balls into the slots with compressed air to remove the dirt and then a little bit of oil and it should work.

I have a 10in table saw with the lock in unlock position its very hard to ajust for angle cuts

You don't mention the brand or model #, so hard to give any specific advice, but could be it needs some oil to loosen it up a bit so it can slide. The curved trunnions under the table where the arbor swings can use some 30wt. motor oil applied with an old fashioned oil can or a spray of wd40 in a pinch. Make sure to unplug the saw before getting in there to lube it. Also lube points where the wheels that raise /lower the blade turn and rub against metal, and any gear-like teeth on the raise lower mechanism where worms gears engage as the saw goes up and down. Probably just stiff from lack of use, unless the lock mechanism is not unlocking.

Hitachi c12rsh2 new out of the box does not slide back and forth easily. Tried lube, helps some but it should not be this resistant. Any ideas?

My saw is a different brand, but most are very similar. There is a tensioning knob right in the front, middle of the base. It is designed to allow drag on the slide, so that the saw won't move too quickly over the work piece, and can be adjusted (a turn or 2) to make it slide easily, or to lock it in place with no movement at all. A little lube is ok, but try not to use much or it will start to get on your project pieces, and the piece you're cutting won't accept stain or paint well.

Husqvarna classica 100 stuck in reverse

I found a Classica 90 that wouldnt reverse. When I took it apart I realized the stitch width mechanism was stuck.
The reversing mechanism manipulated that part to reverse. Problem- mechanism and shaft super stuck. I took it out and forced the shaft to turn and lubed it with a general thin oil. I didn’t know the mechanism; or anything about sewing machines. The give-away was a spring connected to the mechanism. Since it was stuck the spring didn’t seem to have any function..... until I realized it had to be moving. Hope it makes sense.
One screw top back to removed cover. It glides up.
1 screen behind reverse button removes front cover. Also slides up. You reach from behind to get the mechanism out( 2 screws holding small shaft. 2 springs off also. )
Front cover needs to come off to dissemble stitch width turning nob. Has to come of to release the reversing/stitch width mechanism.
It’s not as difficult as it look. You might need a small plier to put springs back in place
Foto shows the stitch width mechanism. The front spring is attached to the part that was stuck.

It's hard to explain, but i will in the best way i can. . . One morning when i started my car, i tried to press the gear thing in but it was stuck, so i kept trying and it finally went in. And once I...

Okay, you are correct, the key is stuck because of the shifter lock wont release, the most common reason is its stuck, you will need to remove the covering around shift to get to shifter lock release solenoid, there you will clean and lube it, you will need to move it by hand as you spray wd40 on the arms, you will see how it work by pressing the shift release and you will see to lever that gets pushed, it wont move because its stuck but you will see the levers move inside, hope this helps, good day.

The shoe does not slide or move at all when I pull the shoe release lever down 1/4 turn. Thank you for your attention and response. Noel Thomas

you have to pull the lever down to its fully position, the shoe could be STUCK from not being moved for so long. I would try and tap it back and lube the mechanism and then pull it forward.

My saw is really stiff when you try to change the angle .I oiled it but this didn't help. I would like to know how to take it apart but I am un sure how to do it and what is in the boxed off area...

Exploded diagram with parts list for LS1016 10" Dual Slide Compound miter saw is here.

Owner's manual is here. If these aren't quite what you need, you can view other models of Makita miter saws, here.

One thing to bear in mind. There's a miter angle lock and a slide lock on the bottom front of the saw. If you don't have the miter angle lock loose enough, it will be difficult to turn the saw.

Drawers don't open

I
THe problem turned out to be mechanical! Everytime I turned it on and off I could tell the mechanical slide of the drawer mechanism would try to slide but only moved just a little bit. So I tried to help it gently with a small screwdriver but wouldn't move any further to forward. So I gently moved it backward, it moved backward about an inch and a quarter to an inch and half. As it had apparently been stuck. The machine two years old. As I dont do this on a regular basis I didn't have any spray lube but am going to purchase some.
