    hmmmm, how could i explain this??
    all the directory names get "corrupted", i mean there is "trash" in the names, just for the root folders. I erase all music from there because some of the ID tags for the files had japanesse characters, and i though that could be the problem... i was wrong. :-| maybe if i try to upgrade....

Go to Coby Electronics. Search for your product. If it is more than five minutes old it will not be on the list. It is on the server though. Put in the model number mp-cXX and the manuals are there in pdf form!

How DO I turn it on?
Press and hold the Play button for about 10 seconds or till the player turns on.. that should do the trick..

Old coby mp3 cracked screen
This is the closest I could find (manual for the MP-C751) which appears to have the same button configuration and software, only different by having larger memory. the screen shows black boxes and i put music on it no problem. just it wont play the music through headphones. It's rather old and ive upgraded to a better mp3 player. but i gave this one to my younger brother so he'd have something for music. but it doesnt work. if its not fixable then i'll just buy him a new one.

mp3 player problems My Coby mp3 player, after about three weeks starting giving me not authorized messages on 96/100 of my loading songs. It will not let me listen to them. It doesn't give a reason why either. I haven't erased the memory yet because it wasn't full and I didn't think that I should have to reload all over again. I upload from Napster. I am a memeber. Is it a programed "time out"? I hope not, I paid for the songs. Thank you for your help.
