Is there an updated driver for the Hyundai B90A LCD Monitor? I'm using Vista on a Compaq Presario PC (vintage 2008), and have a lot of trouble (always have) in being able to establish connection to the...

You don't really update the drivers for your monitor. If you want to update your video drivers. I'm guessing because it's a Compaq Presario PC that it uses Integrated Radeon graphics acceleration so to update those drivers go here. Once there you will need to select Integrated Motherboard Graphics in the first block. From there on I will need to know the exact model number of the Compaq PC to proceed.

When I turn on my monitor, it briefly displays the image, but then turn to black

This usually means the backlight has failed and it is not cost effective to repair. Some monitors with a faulty power supply will exhibit this fault too. If the power supply is external (a little DC "brick") Try and find a replacement with equal voltage and similar (preferrably more) current rating (e.g. 12VDC, 3 Amp). This can be a cheap fix - especially if you have a spare power supply lying around. Often many different monitors can use the same power supply, so if you have another dead one, or know someone with one, you can try that - the connector will even most likely be the same.

I need a replacement power supply and cable and I don't know what the part number or name of a compatable power supply would be. What do I order or where do I look for this without spending a ton of money?...

You can purchase replacement LCD monitor power supplies in numerous places, for example on eBay or in online shops. You can ask a seller to assist you in selecting a proper one.
The most popular specs for such monitor supply would be 12V and a minimum of 5A current rating; the higher current rating on the PS the better, you will have more reserve.

Screen is very Blue all of a sudden. I have tried working with the controls on the back and nothing seems to change the screen color. It is as if a layer of blue is over the entire monitor!

You can have problem in the Logic\LCD driver board, I would try new VGA cable first or try unplug/plug the VGA cable, but try it on another PC also just to be sure.

Hyundai b90a monitor screen is blank... the power light goes briefly green, then goes to yellow standby... even when rebooted.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitors will blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors overheating in the confined space of he monitor. If you are good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix he problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should work fine. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and -connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one the same way. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $45 plus shipping. If your problem is not the capacitors then it would be the backlights and that is much more difficult to replace.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.
