I have the identical story - it happened to me yesterday (Feb 1). At first it was reduced to a trickle. Now, NOTHING flows out of the faucet hot, cold or mix. It is not the aerator - removing that piece was the first thing I did. As the previous poster wrote, it must be in the guts. Now what?

Now, I am trying to remove this faucet
    1) the mounting piece is rusted - not sure how that will work out
    2) CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO remove the quick-connectors that join the sprayer, the faucet and the blended water together? There's a trick to it - slips in easy. How does it slip out?

help, the same thing happened to me!

I think I have the same problem with a similar model. It usually happends, when I first turn on the water; it sounds like a water hammer; "chungk!", and water immediately stops flowing. What I found is that the water has been diverted to the spray hose. With the handle still in the "on" position; I pull the spray out, point it down, and press the spray trigger. Water comes out of the spray, I release the spray trigger and water re-flows out of the main nozzle. Others have told me that it might be air in the system. That can't be, because it happens several times a day, for the past 6 months. I've flushed the system for air 2 times already. I think I need to take this apart and see if any of the parts need replacing.

Take it apart and clean out calcium lime or rust build-up. Also check to be sure your shut-offs are clear and running well

Heater takes more than 1 minute to get water to kit faucet , then temp fluctuates

1) Guesses: Sounds like a bad single-handled faucet cartridge, or low water flow at faucet, or clogged water filter.
Replace faucet cartridge, clean the aerator, and/or clean sediment out of pipes below sink, and clean water filter at tankless unit each month.

2) For exact measure of problem:
Typical faucet can have 2 gallon per minute flow rate.
2 gpm flow rate means faucet fills 1 gallon container in 30 seconds. Test faucet using 1 gallon container and a cooking timer to get flow rate.
Clean aerator to improve flow rate. Compare kitchen flow rate with other faucets in home.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Low-hot-water-pressure.html

Most homes have 1/2" diameter pipe running to kitchen faucet.
100 feet of 1/2" diameter pipe holds 1.2 gallons of water. This assumes no sediment build-up inside pipes.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Water-heater-recirculation-system.html

Assuming only hot is turned on: If faucet is 100 feet away from water heater, and pipe diameter is unobstructed 1/2" diameter, and faucet has 2 gallon per minute water flow, then hot water should arrive in 36 seconds.
50 feet away, and hot water should arrive in 18 seconds.

If kitchen has single handled faucet, and the handle is raised in the middle, then equal amounts of hot and cold water are drawn at same time. This doubles amount of time for hot water to arrive.

If single handle faucet has a bad cartridge, then faucet can have crossover.
Crossover means that cold water can enter the faucet even if faucet is turned to hot.
Bad single-handled faucet cartridge can delay or stop the arrival of hot water.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Crossover.html

Tankless require maintenance including cleaning combustion parts yearly, de-lime heat exchanger frequently, and clean water filter each month.

Water quits flowing

There is a little popper in the spout area. You need to remove the top handle and slide the spout off. The popper is in the main tube coming up. It.s a standard part at most big box hardware stores and it costs less than $10.

Pressure surging thru Delta single handle faucet. The water flow starts and stops suddenly when the faucet is more than half way on. Same for hot and cold.

I don't know if this is your problem or not, But I had a new faucet and it did the same thing. I found little tiny pieces of polishing media stuck in side the faucet. Every time you turn on the water it comes out fast , then trickles, drove me nuts, I took it back and got another, no problem, hope this helps.

Why did my moen faucet stop working? I have water flow throughout the house but the flow at the kitchen faucet just suddenly stopped!

Rubber gasket on the water shut off valve under the sink has come off and traveled up into the faucet. It's pretty difficult to get it out. If you have access to an air compressor you may get lucky by taking the faucet completely off the sink and blowing air back from the faucet outlet back into the internal piping to dislodge the rubber piece. If that doesn't work, or you can't use the air compressor method, then it's a trip to the hardware store for a new faucet.

Water running in Moen single-handle kitchen faucet suddenly stops

There is a small diverter valve on the faucet underneath where the hose connects too it needs to be replaced depending on the age of the faucet I usually recommend replacing the entire faucet with another Moen product

Delta Kitchen Single Faucet 470 suddenly would not give water

Debris in the valve is a fairly common cause for stopping water flow in single lever valves. You can first check the aereator and remove any debris that may be there at the faucet itself. Then you can try to remove the ball at the control lever. You have to be careful and make sure that you do not drop any parts. Especially if this is a recent installation, you may find a large piece of something there.

No water flow in gooseneck faucet

Sounds like the diverter part (insode the faucet) is clogged or broken.

The hot water stops coming out of faucet

if this is the faucet in picture, turn off water, pull out cartridge and inspect for any debris in cartridge or valve body, if not, turn on hot water to see if water is getting through valve body. May have kinked line or debris from or in angle stop line.

Loss of pressure in kitchen faucet - Price Pfister

Your problem is a simple one.

  1. Turn off water to faucet.
  2. Place a towel(s) in the base of the sink(s) to prevent any parts from going down drain.
  3. Remove the handle to the faucet. (single handle only)
  4. If not a single handle then remove spout from faucet.
  5. If a single handle remove cap carefully and any loose parts.
  6. Gently turn spout side to side while lifting to remove.
  7. You will see a hole with a very small valve where the water comes out to the spout on the base of the faucet.

  1. Remove this valve (which is a backflow preventer) and replace.
  2. Reassemble and test.
Problem solved.
