Question about Pelican Camping, Backpacking & Hiking
I have a Pelican MityLite Submersible 1900C flashlight. It was secondhand and abused with corroding batteries left inside. I believe I have resolved the corrosion in the main body, but the bulb/switch assembly is a mess. I got the bulb out to fix the corroded leads and can't get it all back together. Has any one had success reassembling this. Is there a diagram or manual available that shows how it goes back together?
Here are the instructions:
If you remove the tail cap (the part that you unscrew to put the batteries in the flashlight) and the head assembly (the part that has the light bulb) you should be able to push the battery out. Wear some of those disposable latex gloves as that chemical that comes out of the batteries is very corrosive. Or at least wash your hands really well before touching anything, especially your eyes. Good luck.

SOURCE: My 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix's
Anything can be fixed
You will have to fabricate the worn
and rusted brackets, etc and do some
I guess you could section part of a good
subframe at the salvage yard and weld in
That would be time consuming
You have what I will call a hobby or restoration
project. Only a few of us have machine, fabricating
and welding skills to do that type of work
I really would feel uncomfortable paying some to

Yesterday I need to solve this problem with my MagLite Solitaire. My solution was open a little hole in the negative pole of the corroed battery with a Dremel and before screw down a drywall bolt into. At last I pull with a pliers.
