Question about Frigidaire FLGB8200DS Top Load Stacked Washer / Dryer
Please help. This brand new stacked washer/dryer was used for the first time. After the wash cycle, we waited the required 2-3 minutes for the lid to unlock, and one side never has. Is there a way to manually release the lock...or any other way to get our laundrey out? Thanks so much, Yvonne
Sometimes if you unplug it from the wall outlet for 5 minutes, then plug it back in and let it go through a fresh startup cycle then it refreshes and resets itself and may unlock switch.

SOURCE: Washer won't stop spinning
i am a recently retired appliance engineer of 20 years, if the fault is not right after he has called then write to the manager of the company, if he is sole operator then write to him, explaining it like you said above, ask that the engineer stay and watch till the very end of the cycle as thats where the fault is, if he has already worked on the machine fetch them back? alternatively just ask a different engineer who knows what he is on about, to me this sounds like a circuit board problem either the timer or main pcb module, i presume this is a computer control washer with a digital display, hope this has helped you at least as to where to start, thank you.

measure your dryer carefully and check with the dealer where you wish to purchase a machine, regarding
the stacking kit. It may work. They are general standard sized. Don't ry to gerry rig anything or you may have big problems. In your case I recommend using a well known SMALL appliance store that does theri own installations, so they will bring what they may need, but if yours works, they can still use it.Good Luck

This is usually caused by the door switch. These are fairly inexpensive and very easy to replace. First unplug your machine. To check you will need to remove the wire ring that holds the front door seal to the front panel. To do this go to the six o’clock position and you will see the spring of the wire clamp, grab this with a pair of needle nose pliers. Grab it right where it connects to the wire part of the clamp and pull it parallel to the front panel. This will stretch the spring so it can be pulled over the flange. Next carefully peal the door seal off of the flange. You do this with a sort of rolling motion towards the opening in the door. Next remove the screws that hold the door switch in place. Make sure you have one hand supporting the switch assembly while removing the screws. Now pull the whole assembly out the opening. Mark wires if you need to and then remove the wires. Now connect your ohmmeter to the 2 wire on the bottom you should have a reading of 1500 ohms no less than 1400ohms. If it is below the 1400 or more than 1700 replace the switch. To reassemble reverse the order of disassembly. Making sure the little arrow on the door seal lines uo with the mark on the front panel. The spring can be a little trick to get back on but grab in same position as removal and use the other hand to push it over and around the seal. Here is a tutorial to walk you thru http://appliancehelponline.com/washerdoorswitch.html . If it is within this range the main control board is at fault. Not inexpensive. You can enter your model # at www.appliancehelponline.com to view diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. All parts come with installation instructions. Not all models are available.

Tips for a great answer:
Hello Laura Clark - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, you possibly have a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Try setting the cycle to spin only and verify if water pumps out. If it does not, the unit could possibly be experiencing an issue with the pump, door lock assembly or timer. Since it is such a complex unit, I suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately
Hello - Try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and start normal cycle. If this proves to be ineffective, then contact a professional to move forward accurately. Possible causes could be a faulty power cord or house wiring, defective control board, thermal limiter or door switch.

You did not mention the
type and the brand of your washing machine. However given bellow are some
options you can try.
Whirlpool Duet Dryer -
Press and hold the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 3 seconds.
Kenmore Elite Washer - Press and hold the DRAIN/SPIN button for 3 seconds.
In Hoover washing
machine try holding down the temperature and eco/rapid options together to turn
off child lock. Some series use "TEMP and OPTION" at the same time.
