I think the best thing you could do is to Get all the drivers http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_5670.html ready. After that, reinstall a fresh copy of OS and install the drivers again.

SOURCE: how to connect my Acer Aspire 5670 outgoing to my TV

You laptop can connect to any television or display device with S-video input through the S-video/TV-out (NTSC/PAL) port, located on the right side of the laptop (this is the round whitish port located between the two USB ports and the ventilation slots.
The computer has also an external display (VGA) port by which the laptop can be connected to a display device (e.g., external monitor, LCD projector). This is the port on the right side nearest the end of the computer.

Why is my Acer Aspire 5670 crashing?

Definitely a hard drive failure, pull the hardrive out if its no longer under warranty(the pc) and you can get hard drive tested kits that allow you to hook up the hard drive to a working pc and test the hard drive for errors, some are so fried they wont even read. The chirping sounds sounds worst case scenario. But it is deffinately a hard drive failure.

Hi

Thank you for your query, this is not a too uncommon in acers it would seem you may have a cold solder joint on the motherboard causing a short and ultimatley shutting the laptop down

You will need to book the laptop into a reputable PC shop for repair

I hope this has been useful

Acer 5670 screen has dark transparent vertical stripe

you will need to check the display cable and if that is ok, you will need to replace the display panel... You're getting a short on the circuit board causing rows of pixels to be blocked out
