Tv is very blury picture is bad, and its not the cable if i un hook it from the back and put another tv thier that tv is fine. Plus it does it with the dvd too . Any videio output. whats the problem
Has the set been knocked or had a bang in any way, these rear projection tvs are very tempermentle to slight knocks, as you can knock the crts out of line, also the crts have a cooling gel that is located on the top of them, these after a while cloud up causing a very poor picture, if this is the case, then they will have to be replaced, just have a quick look at them you will be able to see if its the gel problem, look directly down on the crts (MAKE SURE THE SET IS TURNED OFF THOUGH), hope this is of some assistance.

double check the wires are in the correct connections on both the tv and dvd player also the KHL dvd player may need to be put in progressive scan. Usually the red wire for video and the one for audio get plugged into the wrong input and causes this issue
Its a Common Problem with Projection Tv's ~ If your flash focus is not correcting the problem, And It can Not be Adjusted in your service menu: under Manual Convergence, your IC chips and maybe a few resistoirs may have failed and need to be replaced!... onegeo
1 thing you can try. sounds silly but. the older a TV is the 75om cable in the back. un hook it, clean it with a tuch of alohol, and the post it hooks to. dry it good. and put it bake on tight. must times the white line come from a dirty, wore out, or bad cable to the set. best way to test this is wiggle the cable behind the set. if the intenstty of the lines change, it's you cable. replace is. hope this helps.
sweetkiss, if it works through the dvd player and not on cable/satellite box then the tuner is bad, if you have any type of cable/satellite box try running A/V cables out of the box to video input on the back of the tv and switch the tv to that video input, ie; vid 1, vid 2 etc. (your using one of those inputs for the dvd) this will give you your picture back, you can of course also replace the tuner in the set, good luck, BMW Rider
shannonlamb- check the back of your set where the cable ect. hook up, there may be a button on the back for speaker on/off.If not then check the menu to see if there is speaker on/off in menu make sure it is on.The last is the old tap test, just tap the back and sides,if you get sound at all it is internal cold solder joints.Let me know ----- cooltek Feb.15/08
We hooked it up with another DVD player,
no difference,
We used another TV, worked good.
We changed all the cable cords, and made no difference.
It comes right down to that TV.
yes from aboe it is 100% sure that trouble is in tv.
every channel is blury and has a trail.
it is due to focus of your tv is not ok
1 adjust focus control
2 focur wire going to crt base might be loose due to some foreign material deposited on crt base.
3 defective crt base.
4 if tv is old there might be possibility of crt getting weak.
hope this will help.
Take the set back and get an exchange or a refund of your money as this could be a focus adjustment, but I do not recomend that you even attempt to try the adjustment, as if you make a mistake, you will be stuck with the set as the manufacturer will blame you for this problem. Good Luck
Does not seem like a bad tube alone. Could also be that the Video output Transistors Supply Filter capacitor having dried out. It is a 100mfd 160V capacitor, which on replacement will improve the brightness of the immage. And yes, you could also try increasing the heater voltage (Filament Voltage)of the Pictuire tube, this will definitely increase brightness, but will reduce the life of the Picture tube.
You gotta think - 10 year old TV, should I repair or exchange and get a new one???
