Re: screen appears faulty
With switched on try pressing the camera casing around the edges of the screen.
This may be a loose connector and squeezing the camera casing may rectify it - then may perhaps it will not.
Try the menu button
If it comes up look for the Reset function.
Carefully look in the manual in case there is an error correction method.

I have a Black and Decker Electric mower #M2370, which I would like to use this year before moving to a condo. Last year, the mower was stopping and starting depending on how the lever was positioned. I suspected the wiring so I removed the on-off switch lever. The wiring appears intact. Part of plastic inside the lever maybe broken. Can i use the mower without the lever by just pushing the black button?
unfortunately it would appear to be a CCD or main board failure.
If the camera is out of warranty (as this should be covered) my best suggestion is to pick up one off ebay with a broken screen and put your screen in it, broken screens are common on these cameras so they go quite cheaply, far cheaper than kodak would charge for repair and the swap is easy.
