Motorola H700 Problems with BB Pearl 8100

I purchased an H700 headset when I purchased my Pearl. It worked fine, but then a couple of weeks later it wigged out on me and every few seconds my phose would say connction lost.... connection established... back and forth. I deleted the device from my phone and tried to re-pair, but it wont let me. Instead of finding the "H700" like it did when I first paired it, it finds "Audio Device", but the connection fails. Also, When I open the boom on the headset, the light is steady purple - without touching any buttons before or after opening the boom. I returned it to motorola thinking that it was a defective unit, but the same thing has happened to the replacement unit that they sent me. I tried pairing it to my wife's Pearl thinking that maybe my phone had a problem, but it I have the same problem there. Is this thing just a little piece of crap, or am I a moron?

I had the motorola i830 and bought the H700 and it worked fine for almost a year. I upgraded to a Blackberry 8830 and linked it up fine and it worked for all of 2 weeks. I get a steady purple light and when I try to link it it says "Audio Device " found. But the connection is lost and it wont link to it. When I first linked it, it found the H700 device but now it just says audio device found and the connection fails.

i think the H700 is not compatible with Blackberry phones.

Blackberry 8100 is not detecting my H700 headset at all. What should be the issue? and I tried with other Nokia mobile, the same problem exists. Am I missing any steps in H700 prior to establishing connection with mobile.?

I recently changed from a RAZR to a BB 8700 and after a couple weeks I started getting the message of "... connection established" followed by "... connection lost". I found that sometimes holding the boom tight against the headset that it would stay established, but that has stopped working.

I purchased this H700 to use with my BlackBerry 8830. There weren't any instructions in the box and I've been trying anything and everything. The purple light comes on for a few seconds but shuts off before the blackberry is finished searching for it. If I could locate a set of instructions it would help. The seller speaks broken english and isn't exactly good a writing a description in english. Istead of telling me the steps they are asking the steps and with the broken english its confusing.

Steps to pair a H700 headset with any bleutooth pone:

  1. Make sure the H700 fully chared (very important)!!
  2. Make sure the microphone boom is folded closed, i.e. power is off!
  3. Hold the call button for 1-5 seconds until the light is steady lit purple
  4. Flip out the microphone boom, the light should stay lit purple!

Now you are ready to pair the headset with your phone, so follow the pairing instructions of your phone.

Note: When prompted for the Passkey; it is most likely 0000 but the correct Passkey should be on the headset accessory instructions.

I must add that indeed my headset on occation (once or twice every three months) also loses its connection with the blackberry (a 8703e) . At which time I have to remove the headset from my phone bluetooth device list, and start the above described steps to pair my headset with the phone again.

If you are trying to re-pair your phone make sure the h700 is FULLY charged. I tried to re-pair when the h700 was partially charged and got the "audio device" message. After I charged the h700 to full it paired fine again like when I did it the first time.

Hi David, I want you to go to this link for your nokia E65. Click the link.

On the left side of the page click Demos
When the demo window opens click, Select Demos button.
Scroll through the list until you see Sending Via bluetooth.
Follow the interactive instruction to connect to your H700.

It might be a good idea to book mark the main page.
