Question about Televison & Video
I have a 2 year old Walmart ILO model number LCT27HA36 and pictured here: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5162342. I just had Dish Network install their system and the latest of their remotes will not control this tv. I have no clue who manufactured the TV, but I have the original remote which works fine, but 2 remotes are a real pain. I was considering a "learning" remote as they come recommended, but some specifically state that there is no guarantee that they'll work. I see codes for the 32" and 42" model of ILO's, but none for this 27". I can find no support site either. The tv has been and remains good. Great picture. Suggestions are welcome. I have tried all codes I could find including the "Scan" mode for the Dish Remote with no success. Anyone know anything about this 27" HD model?

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; to which you want set-up codes; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window" to get gathered related posts.

I have a ILO 27" TV Comcast had no suggestions for programming their remote. I went thru the ENTIRE code book and finally came up with one that worked: Emerson Code #0463 for my COMCAST universal remote.

This happens with some manufactures. Thankfully some codes will work with other TV's. This is the "Code Search" starts. Your remote has a way to try other codes to see if they will work.
If all else fails it appears Sony has a support hot-line available at 1-800-822-2217 that maybe able to help you find the code. Just make sure you cover all the troubleshooting steps you've already done.
