Do NOT throw it to the dust bin. The documentation that comes with the drive specifically says it must not be disposed of with regular household waste but rather discarded in accordance with local rules on hazardous materials. Put it where you'd put used batteries.

Remove it and throw it in the dust bin and buy a new one

Sandisk 8gb pendrive not detected

You can try using another usb port, or it might be that other things conncected to the usb are interfering with it. Try disconnecting things attatched to other usb ports (check in the back of the computer) but be sure that they're not important before you go ripping out cords.

Stopped working COMPLETELY!!!!

Had same problem.

I wiggled back and forth the part that goes into the USB port and the drive was recognized and I could copy my files onto my hard drive.

I had this problem with a different make USB flash drive and used the same procedure to get the files back.

I think that some connection inside the flash drive works loose after a while.

I am not going to trust these drives for files storage, but only to transfer files.
