Have the remote tested--most shops will do this for free--point the remote at the tester and press a button and tester reacts.

This can also with most digital cameras be done---in a very dark room with camera on watch its display screen and point remote and press buttons--should see some tiny flash of light on the camera display screen---cheaper to fix the remote then get another--most of the Go Video units were made by Samsung.....
