Sounds like the bulb again. In the manual it says that the power light flashes to let you know that the bulb is bad. When I got a replacement bulb, I noticed that the wiring on it was opposite of the one on my set and had to change the wiring to match my set.

I have toshiba 50hm67 replaced lamp...tv worked, then quit working again, and giving blinking yellow lamp error light when turn on...after a few moments tv tries to turn off and back on

OK. I have this same issue. I replaced my bulb a month or so ago. TV worked fine. Then one morning I turned it on and it was on for a good while, till it went to a black screen w/ sound only. Lights were going through the reboot process as designed for 8 attempts before it went to the solid red light. From the red light, if I unplug and plug back in, the tv will come on for a given amount of time, which varies, and then cut to the black screen. A repairman told me that it sounds like the digital board is bad. He wanted $150 for the board and $100 labor. I cannot find anywhere where the board would be located or where I can purchase a replacement.

TV has gone into "protect mode" to do just that to protect against the damaging failure that has been detected, you will need a servicer to diagnose the failure. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

Screen went black an hour ago, the sound is ON

Start by replacing the bulb. If thats a no go, check the ballast. Its a small circuit board directly underneath the bulb housing and is replaceable through the bulb panel. If those two don't work, comment back and I'll walk you through more 'in depth' repairs.

Your lamp has most likely blown out. that is what happened to mine and once I replaced the bulb it worked just fine. this is one of the cheaper stores to find a replacement bulb, www.bluestar-online.com
