Fujifilm f402 - Just blurred colours instead of a picture..???
When I turn on the camera & look at the lcd display all i can see is blurred colours. This is the same if i take a picture/s. When i download the pictures again all i see is blurred colours.
I have reset the camera & reformatted the memory card but this doesn't help.
NB If I copy an old picture to the memory card it is displayed perfectly on the camera lcd.
Any ideas what I can do to solve this would be much appreciated.

You can't remove the lens of your not so cheap bridge camera.
If you want to clean the lens, it really needs to stay on. After removing anything on or from this lens, you need at least a collimator, to align the lens elements. If not it won't be able to focus and could give lots or other errors in the pictures, like colour blur, aberration and out of focus parts.
Inside the door hinge area is a small switch that normally would turn
off the viewfinder and turn on the LCD panel. THat switch could be
defective or mechanically not being switched. WIthout opening up the
unit, I can not tell specifically. This shouldbe a simple repair for
any shop that repairs cameras.
To come closer to the colprit, if you shoot a picture and you put it on a PC (tablet) does the picture still look blurred? If it does, the most likely is the image sensor or the lens are broke. If the picture is ok on the PC, only the display is bad. Are you sure you don't see anything on the lens? Is perhaps a little dent on the outside visable? That could be caused by a fall with the lens outside the body.
Blur warning. The camera is warning you that the shutter speed may be too slow for you to handhold the camera steady enough to prevent camera motion from blurring your photo. For full details refer to the "Warning Messages and Displays" section of the manual (page 113 in my copy). If you need a manual you may download a copy here.
That's a fun design of a camera; I hardly know what to make of the PnS cameras with diffraction limits as the main affect on their 14 megapixels...maybe it's meant for hobbyists to come along and attach lens kits.
It kind of sounds like the supply for the CCD has failed; repair shops (Fuji authorized or not) tend to have cleanup and a bit of teardown as their first duty, so if that and resetting to default settings (per a menu selection) doesn't fix things in itself, you can hunt down the 8-35v supply (as opposed to 3.3V) and find out what's failing (keeping it at (-1)-5v.) (For cleanup you want some lint-free cotton towel, deionized water and EtOH and clean sponge swabs, and of course any peculiar and necessary tiny screwdrivers...or a shop that has those (see watch repair places for references.)) Fuji of course licenses repair shops, too. As far as electronics probing: You could power up and sense around with an inductive probe for lossy lines, frost things over and see what defrosts first, poll voltages, remove components and check Q and gain, etc. but be sure to be ginger electrically, with water/condensation, and with lint at the CCD package.
Does the flash still work normally, and are there perhaps any more tells in exposure data that it is seeing things differently?
