Question about Fuji FinePix F700 Digital Camera

Not working When I turn my camera on, it has a usb symbol in the left hand cornerand a green bar that looks like a memory card and sayd DSC. The camera wont do anything but show this screen, I can hook it up to the computer and get the pictures that are on the memory card which is full but I cant take pictures or view them on the screen. I charged the battery and the light goes off meaning that it is full.

When you say 'Get the pictures' Have you actually or can you - down load them to the computer. If you can then go to menue and delete all the pictures. If the memory is full you have yo get those images off.

The hand symbol is your blur warning. If it's green, the picture is sharp.

The pictures you can't get are on the camera's internal memory, not the memory card. You need to connect the camera to the computer to do this.

Easy, just change the camera's USB connection to the DSC mode. You don't need any software when the camera is in DSC mode, it looks like a memory stick or card reader to your computer.

Enter the picture viewing mode, press the "menu /OK" button, arrow down to menu "2",
arrow down to "Set",
right arrow to the sub menu,
Arrow down to menu "3",
arrow down to "USB",
right arrow and arrow up to change from "Pict Bridge" to "DSC", left arrow out and press "menu/OK" button.

Try this...remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.

To remove the write protect lock, take the card out of the camera, face the card towards you, look for a small white tab on the left hand side of the card, to unlock it push the tab down, it will be at the side of the card like this

First of all check to make sure the cards write protect is off, take the card out of the camera, face the card towards you, look for a small white tab on the left hand side of the card, to unlock it push the tab down, it will be at the side of the card like this

Pop it back in the camera and try to format the card again, if you get the same error message again there could be a chance the card is damaged.

Cannot upload images from my internal memory to my computer

Take the memory stick out, does the USB see internal memory now? If not move the internal memory pictures to the memory card first, then the USB connection will work.

No CF card

The camera body has a tiny switch marked "CF" in one position and Sony's "memory stick" symbol in the other. Apparently I accidentally reset the switch from "memory stick" to "CF" while slipping the camera body into (or out of) its carrying-case. Once I had set this switch from "CF" back to the "memory stick" position, everything worked fine. Solution: read the user's manual more carefully next time!!

Try looking at http://www.fujifilm.ca/x3719.xml for firmware or software updates as well as new drivers for your camera. If you are using an upgraded XD card try putting the original back in.
Then follow the directions for doing the updates to use your new card. If all else fails time for a new camera.
