Having problems getting Ghost 9.0 set up again.

I had Ghost 9.0 set up to backup 2 laptops to the desktop. The desktop had to be wiped and reloaded which was done by the techs at CDO. I had to reload Ghost on my PC and now I'm trying to set up a backup job. I get to the screen that says"to access a network connection, the connection must be made as a user with permission." I have tried to put in the userID and password that I used before and wrote down on the Ghost packaging, but that isn't working. I vaguely remember setting a user name and password on the desktop when I set up sharing on the folders, but can't remember how I got there to do that. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Need to factory set my easynote tk due to accidental hard drive erasure

You will need a backup recovery disc to reload your operational system. Since the hard drive has been wiped clean there is no other way to do this.

I want to unlock my bb 9700 which i wrongly typed unlock code to more than 10 times.can i still use the phone again and how do i go about it?

Yes, definitely you can still use the phone but it will be restored to it's Manufacturers settings.

Just enter the incorrect password x10 times and your Blackberry will be wiped. Your personal data will be gone, but you can then enter a new password and start again.

note:

After the 10th attempt, if you get the password wrong, it will have you type in blackberry again and it will completely wipe your Blackberry of all your personal data and it will reload itself back to factory default.

Basically, this is a security measure in case someone gets a hold of your Blackberry and attempts to break in to get your personal information. RIM Blackberry does NOT have your password, so unfortunately a RIM tech support agent cannot retrieve your password.

Hopefully you have created a backup of your Data using the Desktop Manager, so if you cannot remember your password and the device wipes itself, you can restore your data from the backup with the Desktop Manager

Blackberry app error 513 problem. please solve it now

I hope you have it backed up on your pc or it will stay on long enough to backup. The only way to fully fix this problem is to wipe it with a program called JL_Cmnder (http://www.blackberryfreaks.com/JL_Cmder.html) make sure the blackberry desktop software is not running when you dot he wipe after the phone will reboot and give you a error screen with a line through it. Once you have that screen open the blackberry desktop software and it should give you the option to upgrade your software. Once it is done you will have a fully wiped and reloaded OS. Then you can reload your back up. I would selectively reload it and only put the important stuff in like calendar and phone book since there is a possibility that your backup could have saved the database that is giving you the error. Here is a link to another fixya article that has the fix in more detail its the same steps. http://www.fixya.com/support/t4416922-fix_app_error_523

My sons computer crashed and I had to have it repaired. Unfortunately they wiped everything out including my Norton which I just renewed a few months back. What can I do to reinstate this without having to...

BACKUP,BACKUP,BACKUP....all data was probably lost when it crashed...as far as your Norton, contact them...they will have your subsciption on file and let you download...if you have the Norton disk, and hopefully you have the serial #, just reload and enter this long number when it asks you for it

Hello,

Backup of hard drive

I use Norton Ghost 9 and I love it. Initially, it makes a complete image of your harddrive. I would purchase a good sized external harddrive and attach it via USB and use it as your backup drive.

Norton will allow you to schedule "incremental backups" as often as you like. I have mine set for every night at 1AM.

The biggest reason to use this system is if your C: drive fails, you can use Norton Ghost to completely restore your system from the backup image on a new harddrive and be up and running as if nothing happened within a few hours. No installing applcations, settings or anything. It's wonderful!

Blackberry curve8310 has a ghost message indicator on?

A ghost indicator generally means that the MDN number (your phone number) and the MIN number (number actually hidden / programmed into the phone) are linked to a phone with another ESN=Electronic Serial Number. Definitely need to contact your carrier's customer service or tech support department to have the ghost account removed!

Laptop help again :)

Don't panic, the situation is not too bad, as the laptop's hardware is still all ok.
The Ghost software probably did not work because you did not make a complete bootable ghost CD from Windows when computer was working, or you did not do the ghosting procedure properly, or finally the ghost cd is corrupted.
if F11 does not work, it means that the recovery partition on hard disk had probably been corrupted by the virus.
Check if your laptop is covered by some insurance or extended guaranty to cover expenses for system reinstall.
Best way to proceed is asking a copy of restore cd fro your model from HP.
Contact them and ask how to obtain a copy of CD in your region, In UK they charge you £25 or so to send you the disk.
If for some reason you cannot get the restore cd, you will have to re-install system from a generic windows cd, possibly the same Windows version to validate the licence on Windows sticker at the bottom of your laptop (eg. Vista Home, XP home edition, XP professional etc.).
If you have to use a generic Windows disk you will need to download all drivers from HP. and install them after installing Windows.
Also a good choice can be locating a computer repair shop in your area and having the system re-install done using the licence number printed on the sticker at the bottom of your laptop. This job usually is not too expensive, in London, where I work, we charge £45 to do system restore.
Good luck.
