If your wireless connection is not working even if the wireless light is lit up on ur 2wire modem/router....try to delete the 2wire network from the prefered list...go to network connection, right click on wireless netwrok connection, go to properties and click on wireless network..select the 2wire netwrok on the prefered list and remove..reconnect to the network by clicking on view available wireless netwrok and select the 2wire network again...if its asking for a WEP key or password take a look at the bottom on the modem a 10 digits number enclosed in brachets..thats the network or wep key. access 192.168.1.254 and click on home network, got to wireless settings---edit settings...change ur wireless channel to 10 adn power settings to 10, save ur changes=)...ohh and by the way make sure that the wifi switch of ur laptop is turned on=)

I had a similar problem, but instead of no connection, our connection kep dropping. We were about 100feet from the router, using a Belkin USB wireless adapter on a desktop running XP. I went into the router, changed the power setting dropdown from 6(default) to 10 and when I hit save, the connection status lit up super fast and has stayed in "excellent" for a few days now! YES!

You need to get into the routers settings by way of the router management software, or typing its ip address in your web browser. in the local area network section make sure that wireless is enabled, and exit. Lastly restart the router as sometimes they can lock out for some reason, remove the mains power connector for about 30 seconds or so and reconnect. If the wireless still does not show, look to your wireless card or whatever you are using on your pc and check that they are working as normally the wireless light only flickers when a wireless peice of hardware is connecting to the internet.

I have a 2wire 2700hg-b modem/wireless router, my problem is i get lag while playing xbox 360 online, i get red bar to none , while my friend have all green bar,in the tv screen, also my laptop lose signal...

yeah a better modem would be the easiest thing to do because it's clear that the one you've got is either not transmtting properly or is just the unit you'vee got has a fault in it

Problem with wireless network connection.

Usually, new laptops now have a toggle switch for wifi. It means you have to switch your wifi ON so that it will start receiving signal and transmitting data to your router. Just locate your wifi switch and turn it ON.

I have a 2wire wireless router and it keeps restarting

Test it on a different phone outlet, if it does the same , then the router is faulty. In that case replace the router. If router works fine on a different phone outlet, then the phone socket is faulty.

Hi dilex
The 2wire router wireless light comes only when a system is connected to it wireless.

Please post the system that you are using and also what exactly when you try to connect via wireless.
