Mine like carpet post and the bottom of the couch. He sometimes likes the cardboard that lays flat on the ground and NOT the cardboard that stands up. I bought the one from Target "boots and barkley" because it is reasonable prices but he just chewed the lower level and no interest in scratching it. So he didn't like A) but likes B) so you just have to figure what he likes. I bought two of the C) and he didn't like it at all, one is still in the package and one open barely used. Guess those will go on craigslist for $5 bucks. So you have to do a trail and error A) BOOTS BARKLEY Corrugate Scratching Post Refill B) CAT SCRATCH BB ARCH CAT SCRATCH C) Cat Scratching Play House

Most cats love the cardboard scratch pads that are sold by pet stores. Sisal scratch pads work okay as well. Check out Amazon.com because there are many reviews of cat furniture. Cats need to be able to scratch, it helps shed old claw material and it stretches vital structures in its legs.

Can I purchase new scratching posts replace old ones on a whisker city cat tree.

I re-roped my scratching post. Get 3/8 sisal rope. The hardest part was getting the post off the base and wrapping the rope tight. You will need a staple gun. Round staples are best but I think you can work with flat ones. Only use them at the ends and bury them well.

HOW TO TRAIN MY CAT TO USE A SCRATCHING POST?

Scratching is a natural instinct for cats. It's a habit they learn from their mothers and need to do it to sharpen their claws and keep themselves clean as well as using it as a territorial marker. It becomes a problem when cats do all their scratching on home furniture, which is why it's a good idea to buy a scratching post. Here are some tips to encourage your cat to use the scratching post and to leave your furniture alone:

The scratching post you buy should be appealing to your cat. It needs to be big enough and sturdy enough for them to be very active without knocking it over. Bring your cat to the post and rub their paws gently against it. If they try and scratch themselves against something else, you can say "No" firmly and bring them back to the post and keep rubbing their paws against it.
If they scratch the post on their own initiative, give them lots of praise and a treat. If they keep ignoring you, you can use a correction method i.e. spraying them with water, or a smell they don't like or releasing a loud noise whenever they do it. It's best to hide out of sight when you do this so that your cat doesn't realize it's you and resent you.

How can I clean my cat's scratching post?

I use a vacuum cleaner to vacuum any hairs or dust. Then, I spritz the post with a mixture of vinegar and water, which gets rid of any funny smells. Hope this helps.

What are the different types of heating beds for cats?

There are two types of heating beds for cats: thermal beds and electric beds. Thermal beds use insulating material, which uses the body heat of the cat in order to warm up the bed. Electric beds use electricity in order to warm up the bed. This allows the bed to be warm at all time. This type of heating bed is most expensive. If you have a tight budget, you can get your cat a microwavable pad in order to provide it with warmth. The downside of these pads is that they provide heat for only 30 minutes to an hour.

My two 11 months old cats keeps jump up on tables that is not allowed. when I said to them 'off' or 'go' and they will not respond to what I have told them. please help as I don't

Get yourself a spray water bottle like hairdressers use, and instead of being close enough to get scratched, give them a little squirt from a distance. Guaranteed to make them comply immediately. They hate water, and will take off in the other direction.

: How can I keep my cat from scratching my kitchen table?

The best way to keep your cat from scratching the table isnot to spray in with an unsavory smelling product as many people suggest. This is a bad idea because you have to eatoff that table! I recommend consistentlyspraying your cat with water from a spray bottle every time he goes to sit onthe table. Eventually he will connectthe dots and see that sitting on the kitchen table is not allowed.

Bread pan washers have gone on our Kenwood BM250 what do we need to replace it

The pan for your perticular model has no user-serviceable parts. You''ll need to purchase a new bread pan assembly.

Here's more on the subject:

Use your make + your model + your model number (omitting any dashes, slashes, or spaces) + the words BREAD PAN TIN MOLD to perform an Internet search. Google is best for these types of searches. Google Product Search is even better in some cases.

Example: If you owned the Fredericks Home Bakery model KHB-178 you would want to enter your search as:

FREDERICKS HOME BAKERY KHB178 BREAD PAN TIN MOLD

Hope this helps & Happy Hunting!

Note: Breadmakers model numbers are usually located on the backside or bottom of the unit, either on a printed decal or raised plastic embossment, and usually followed by abbreviations such as mdl, mdl no, model, model no, type, style, art, art no, article no, cat, cat no or catalog no.

A305 while typeing skips to other places or just stops typeing

I found in the past that my thumbs/palms were contacting the scratch pad while typing. This made typing almost impossible.

I retrained myself to be very aware of my hand position while typing, and the problem is gone.

Get a small piece of cardboard (off a cereal box) cut just big enough to cover the scratch pad. Put the cardboard over the scratch pad and try typing. If the problem goes away, you need to relearn hand position like I did.
