I have a RCA 2004 D52W15 that started the flashing light thing. Turn it on and the little blue light will flash 3 times with an audible click inside the set but nothing else happens. Unplugged and plugged it back in but it didn?t make any change to the problem. I have seen some feedback that it is better off as a boat anchor and now considering purchasing a new set. Any ideas on the problem? I had a tech come out and look at it but I guess I am looking for a second opinion. He told me the module that has failed in the set is no longer being produced took my $45 for the house call and was down the road before I even thought to ask him what the part number of the module was. Anyway, any input on the issue would be greatly appreciated. If it?s ready for retirement then opinion of a more reliable replacement would also be great though I am not willing to pay out $3k+ for a new set I am still looking at 51- 57? as replacement in the $2k range. Thanks for any input! Vor
I worked on a similar one, had a bad flyback, replaced and all checked fine.
