I have a RCA 2004 D52W15 that started the flashing light thing. Turn it on and the little blue light will flash 3 times with an audible click inside the set but nothing else happens. Unplugged and plugged it back in but it didn?t make any change to the problem. I have seen some feedback that it is better off as a boat anchor and now considering purchasing a new set. Any ideas on the problem? I had a tech come out and look at it but I guess I am looking for a second opinion. He told me the module that has failed in the set is no longer being produced took my $45 for the house call and was down the road before I even thought to ask him what the part number of the module was. Anyway, any input on the issue would be greatly appreciated. If it?s ready for retirement then opinion of a more reliable replacement would also be great though I am not willing to pay out $3k+ for a new set I am still looking at 51- 57? as replacement in the $2k range.
Thanks for any input!

Only if you have a source button on the tv itself. On many of the newer sets you have to have the remote to access your other inputs. Without the remote, nada. And forget universal remotes - they only provide for the most basic functions and video source is not one of them. And you get hosed on original remotes.
how about deleting all the software of that device and reinstalling it as a new device.
the program may have corrupted the flash drive and all the data that is on it and when you pluged into any other device it may of worked a few time but that it will start corrupting everything you have plugin your flash drive into.
you are going to reformat the flash drive and re install any type of drivers for the flash drive and check every where you have used the flash drive has not corrupt any of the systems you are using.
let hope we got it before you loose your intire system due to corrupted software downloads or uploads to flash drive and computer system and this may include a network if you are on one.
that model is famous for having bad flybacks. fortunately they arent exspensive and there easy to replace. you can get a new replacement at the following link for less than 50 bucks and they give free instructions on how to install it properly. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
That flashing means that the sweep power supply didnt start up along with the main power supply. It could be a shorted horizontal output transistor or a bad flyback transformer. Youll need a service manual to scope out the horizontal drive and see why itsnot starting up or staying on. if your not a servicer then there are no real user serviceable parts inside so contact your local AUTHORIZED servicer as they will have all the right service manuals as well as acess to all the proper parts. Not that an unauthorized shop is a bad thing its just they the unauthorized usually are not aware of troubles that rca sends there peeps. Good Luck
