MY GPS IS SAYING THE SAME THING GPS MODULE NOT RESPONDING

Same problem here. My Gps worked fine for the past 2 years and just last week says 'gps module not responding'. Sounds like a pretty wierd coincidence that more than 1 of our 337C units have quit in the last week or so.

I took my boat out today and had the same problem. The unit is 2 1/2 years old and it's stored inside the house when it's not in use. Seems odd to have so many go at the same time.I took my boat out today and had the same problem. The unit is 2 1/2 years old and it's stored inside the house when it's not in use. I know this may sound funny but replace the water temperature sensor cable that's connected to the unit. There is a module in the temperature sensor cable that has been going bad on a lot of these units recently. I had the same problem and replaced the temperature sensor cable and that fixed the problem.
Sorry, that's a stupid response. Common ground means common point ground. There's no reason to spread out your grounds, unless you are pushing so much current though ground that you are frying the wires.
You probably have a faulty system that needs repair.
What you need to do is Make sure that your negative wires are located on different negative wires within the boat. You cannot take all the negative wires and hook them up to the same location. Also make sure that the 60Ohm terminator is properly connected. Hope this helps.

1. Turn unit OFF 2. Press and hold the PAGES key 3. Press and hold the PWR key 4. Release both buttons when the USA map appears ..................................................................................
If soft resetting didn't work , then I would recommend you with hard resetting . Here is how to hard reset your device . But Hard Reset (Deletes stored GPS Data such as Waypoints and trails) .
1. Turn unit OFF 2. Press and hold the ZIN&ZOUT Keys at the same time 3. Press and hold the PWR key 4. Release both buttons when the USA map appears
Make sure that you have powered the NMEA 2000 network. The display
unit's power cable has a set of red, black, and sheild wires that need
to be hooked up to a 12VDC power source. There is a power diagram
somewhere in the manual that should show this.
Make sure that
you have the NMEA 2000 network connected properly. If it is a newer
version LMS-525, it should just be a single 15ft cable that has two female
ends, the module plugs into one end, and the other end plugs into the
back of the display. If it came with some T connecters and 120Ohm
Terminator caps, then make sure you have that hooked up correctly.
There should be a diagram in the manual for that as well but you just
connect the two T's together like TT, put the 120Ohm terminators at
each end, and run the extensions to the display and GPS module.
There
is a decent troubleshooting guide for checking to make sure power is
getting to the module at

If this doesn't tell you anything, most likely the GPS module is bad.You will need to contact Lowrance support to get it repaired/replaced. You can call them at 800-324-1356 or email them at http://www.lowrance.com/en/Support/Product-Support/Contact/
Check the connectors and wiring between the GPS module and sonar unit. If it's an internal GPS module yo may have knocked loose a connector internally.
"GPS Module Not Responding" is the display units way of telling you there is basically no GPS module connected. You didn't say which unit you have, so I am assuming this is something like an LMS-520? The GPS module is the LGC-3000? If this is the module you have, make sure that you have powered the NMEA 2000 network. The display unit's power cable has a set of red, black, and sheild wires that need to be hooked up to a 12VDC power source. There is a power diagram somewhere in the manual that should show this.
