Motorola RAZR V3m External Display Problem

Ok so i've been reading posts on here for quite some time. My silver Motorola RAZR V3m was functioning perfectly, it's never fallen and its never been wet. I've taken absolute care of it and its around 6 months old. A few days ago, i had an issue where the screen would go white; i thought maybe it was a battery issue so i discharged the battery and recharged to full, i havent had the white screen issue in a while. The problem i'm having now is... The External display no longer display's the time when the phone is closed, it will display the logo. The phone's keypad no longer lights up on it's own when i open the phone; it seems i have to manually press a key for it to light up. Closing, if for some reason i'm having a problem with the inner strip or whatever it's called.... why would i still have a working External and Internal display? The displays work, but they aren't working as suppose to. It's almost as if the phone no longer knows when its Open or Closed... Any ideas? thoughts? I have insurance on the phone and it's still under warranty, i'm just trying to gather some information. My phone is from MetroPCS in the Miami, Florida Area.

I have a red motorola razr v3m and it has the same white screen problem. For a seond it's working fine, and then momentaraly the internal screen goes white. When i close the phone the external display is blackish-grayish color and doesn't show anything. (but you can still see that it is lit up) I tryed turning it off and on and it works perfectly, but then again it goes white when i press a button and so does the exernal display. Pleeeeeese help me,i don't know maybe the problem is in the software or the screen, but i just can't fix it.

Master Reset

the OPCODe can master reset the phone. I screwed up my phone by trying to change the theme and evry time i pressed menu the phone restarted. However, i found a post on another site that read...
For me, Motokit, PTS, and the reset of the tools could not reset my phone. Here's how I reset my phone with just the phone keboard.
This will reset all your menus. On my Verizon Razr V3m phone, my contact and my picture gallery were not affected. (Make sure you key the command in exactly. 18*1 is Master Clear, and you don't want do to that.
From your phone, enter this sequence to go into OPCODE mode fairly quickly:
Press CLR then
This puts you in OPCODE mode, where you can enter special commands. Be CAREFUL here.
Enter a the code for a Master Reset command:
Press the middle navigation button.
Wait. The screen should show "SUCCESS" after a few seconds.
Push the LEFT soft key (back). You'll be back at the OPCODE screen.
Push the RIGHT soft key (options). Push this button again to select Cancel Entry (the only option).
This gets you out of OPCODE and back to where you started. You might have to push CLR a few times to clear the number you entered to get into OPCODE mode.
It was really helpful

Motorola Razr V3m external display

go to menu, settings and tools, call settings, answer options and set to "any key" and you should be able to open and see who calls and then hit any key to answer phone, Hope that helps, doesn't solve problem with broken screen, but doesn't answer phone if you don't want to talk to person calling.
