I can't seem to locate a replacement battery that fits

I have purchased two replacement batteries for my Samsung N150 Plus Notebook and neither fit properly into the PC. There are two posts on the battery that slide into a locking mechanism on the PC. Unfortunately, the replacement batteries would not fit snugly and therefore, will not lock in place. I confirmed I ordered the correct battery, but neither would fit properly.

Be very carefull of aftermarket batteries (cheap), get one from a reputable dealer. If you have a issue you can return it try here: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-NP-N150-PLUS-Battery-4400mAh/dp/B006YZVOK0 Some cheap Replacement batteries at best will not work properly/long, at worst can be a fire hazzard. Never leave a laptop with battery inserted unattended.

SOURCE: battery fully charged but still shutting down when disconnected from mains

New batteries have been sitting on the shelf for possible a long time. These batteries need to be cycled quite a few times before they reach their full amp hour capacity. The batteries need to be charger to 100% and then discharge to nearly zero. Do not half discharge and the charge to 100%.

SOURCE: dell Inspiron works on battery only. No AC, no charger.

get a volt meter and be sure the power is coming to the plug, you may have a broken cord. if the problem is not there see if you have a setting in the bios for dc only. some older dells have a bios setting for the power settings in bios.

SOURCE: Charging power cord doesn't fit snug therefore

Is this the original power adapter, or a replacement. If it's an original and you're having this problem, then you're probably going to need to get the female DC Jack on the motherboard re-soldered or replaced. If your power supply\adapter isn't the original one, then it could be that the replacement you got is not the correct replacement for your laptop. It could still also be that your female DC Jack has gone bad and needs to be re-soldered or replaced. Those are the 2 most likely reasons for your problem of the battery not charging.

Why my samsung laptop n150 plus is only charging 80% still i put on charge after 80%?it only show green light after 80% which means that laptop not going to charge after 80%...WHY?

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

Factory reset samsung N150 plus

You should be able to press 'F4' at boot time and access Samsung Recovery Software, and then reinstall the back-up that would have been made the first time the netbook was switched on - a 'factory reset'...

When i pull out the power cord on my N150 plus the comp crashes, even though the battery is saying 100 per cent..any idea?

A lot of times this happens when the battery has gone bad and needs to be replaced. It might say 100%, but due to use (and sometimes just due to a faulty battery) the battery will charge less and less and eventually won't hold a charge at all. For example, when I first got my laptop a year and a half ago, I could get almost six hours out of a charge. Now I get almost twenty minutes. Unfortunately, I would say you need a battery. You can get one either from samsung (though you may have to call them, I couldn't find your battery on the site), Newegg.com, or ebay.com.

Some good tips for handling your new battery. First, if the computer's plugged in, remove the battery. Put it back in before you unplug it. This will prevent long-term wear on your battery. Secondly, it's good to regularly (I'd say yearly or so) let your computer "die" on battery (run it until the battery dies), then charge it completely THREE TIMES. This will "cycle" your battery. They say that with the newer batteries used nowadays this isn't an issue, because the new type of battery doesn't create the crystals like the older type does, but it can't hurt anything and I've noticed a difference when I do it.

I'm sorry about the bad news, but hopefully this will help!

Samsung n150 plus is expandable to how many memory?

The Samsung N150 Laptop comes installed with 1GB of Memory and can be upgraded to a maximum of 2GB Memory. This computer has 1 (one) SO-DIMM memory slot, so to upgrade to 2GB of RAM, you will need to replace the installed RAM module with a single 2GB PC2-5300 DDR2-667 200pin SDRAM SO-DIMM memory module.
