I have an older rear projection Mitsubishi tv. I have sound, but every once in awhile the picture would just go out. Sometimes it will come right back on after a few mintues, then there have been times I cut it off for awhile and then it will come back on. There are times when I've had to leave it off for a whole day and it would stay on for a month or more. Is it a fuse or connection wire loose?

I have the identical model, purchased in early 2000. I had the same issue, and called Mitsubishi service. Turns out there is a known problem with the video power supply. Mine was under warranty when it was repaired (in 2002), but by now yours probably is not. I recall the repair guy did the fix with no parts, just a soldering iron.
If you're handy, you can probably get the details from MITS service and try the repair yourself. If not, I suggest the repairman route.

Use a high speed HDMI cable form the TV to the sound bar. HDMI cables carry sound as well as picture signals. Refer to your TV's user manual http://www.hdtvsolutions.com/pdf/52527-62528.pdf
and the Samsung product support page http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/HW-F450/ZA for assistance
1,2 error code means NO ERROR FOUND. The set is older and may not be compatible with this set---what type of connection is being used and to which rear input?

I suspect the lamp is failing on your TV. The lamp replacement code is listed on the side of the TV on a sticker that is orange and white. It will start with BP96-. The lamp code is crucial on these older Samsung DLP's because they used quite a few different styles. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thank you...
SOUNDS LIKE YOUR LAMP IS OUT. AS FAR AS WHAT MITSUBISHI IS DOING THEIR NEWER DLP'S THEY REDUCED THE COST OF THE LAMPS TO $99. BUT ON THESE OLDER ONES THEY ARE DOING NOTHING.
yeah plenty, on older rear projection t.v.'s the circuit boards tend to over heat as they get older. keep the t.v. off and unplugged. contact a local repair shop.
