WILL NOT EJECT DISC

What is the model number of your DVD player? You may try power resetting the unit and check if it helps. To power reset, turn OFF the DVD player and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and turn the player ON. Attempt to open the disc tray.

Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons. If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.
NOTE: This step may not apply to all models as DISC1 is not available on all DVD players.

If this does not work and if the DVD player has DISPLAY and PREV buttons, press and hold the DISPLAY+PREV buttons for two seconds to unlock the drawer.

RCA RTD206 HOME THEATRE

This is an indication that the optics are either dirty or failing. Carefully open up the unit and clean the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. That should resolve the problem. If not, try playing a music CD. If the CD plays but a DVD does not, the optics are failing and need to be replaced.

Cd doors don't open and Errors 1 and 4

I had the same problem with my CMT-EP707. I read on this site to try various combinations of turning power off then turning the power back on while holding down either or both of the stop play button and the eject button for the affected CD tray. What seemed to work for me was turning on the power while holding down the eject button for CD tray 2, even though the error referred to CD tray 1.
