I recently received a used Beverage-Air BM-23 keg cooler. I replaced the evaporator pan which was rusted out, door gasket, and evaporator motor and fan blade. The evaporator motor now runs all the time, even when the compressor has shut off. The unit is cooling properly. You have to unplug the unit to get the evaporator motor to shut off.
Is this the way this unit is designed, or is there a problem with the wiring? When I replaced the evaporator fan motor I simply disconnect the wiring to the fan and reinstalled the new fan motor. No other wiring was changed or disconnected.

Metalfrio beverage cooler throwing off a 77 error code,
I checked evaporator fan and it is running.
I see line coming to evaporator coil is cooling but. Evaporator Fan is running but Refrigrator is not cooling down.
all refrigerators will make condensation it is were evaporator meets air takes moisture out drips down into a pan located on or near compressor it maybe as simple as a plastic hose out of collector pan that will have on some refrigerators a fan .
heat from compressor and fan will evaporate the water.
your problem also can be bad door gaskets letting humid air into it
Check door gaskets make sure it seals check drain pan may have a rust hole or its plastic and may have a crack in it
send us a model # we can tell you were to look
Most evaporator fans run all the time. This is mainly to use the air flow to assist in melting off any frost build up during the compressor off cycle. If that fan shut off with the compressor the coil will have a tendency to freeze up. :)
It can take a very long time to get a keg of beer down in temperature. The heat transfer from a keg is slow due to the lack of air circulation inside the keg. You should also check your condenser coils, make sure they are clean. Door gasket should also be in good repair. Hope this helps.
