Unlock printer i have a problem unlocking my dell printer a960, please i need your professional advice.

when i put it on, it displays unlock scanner and i am unable to do this, could you please provide some practicable solutions to this problem

The unlocking will refer to docking clamps that lock the scanner into place for transit, liik inside or underneath for a lever or switch to unlock

Hi there

On the multi function machine seems to be a coating on the metal rod that the cartridges travel on. Just wipe this rod with a Kleenex and the problem seems to go away.
Somehow it presents a drag on the cartridges and causes an error.
Myself I would put a little bit of oil after on a cloth and wipe along the bar.

Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

Windows 7 64-bit drivers

google dell.com click drivers and support type in home machines/ printers/ a960 you'll see there isn't windows 7 listed but to the right they'll have how to install with windows 7 for Dell A960 technical info. Hope that helps

Dell a960 power cord

The Dell printer has a plug-in power supply, not just a power cord. It's a box that plugs in to the almost-rectangular opening on the bottom right back side of the printer. If you do a Google search for "a960 power supply" you'll find several sources for replacements. Here is an eBay auction currently running with a total price of under $20. Other sources are in the $30 to $40 range.

Dell AIO Printer A950 telling me to Unlock Scanner.

Open the front cover of the printer so that the ink cartridges are visible and the green kickstand is supporting the cover.

Locate the green switch to the left of the kickstand. (Figure 1)

Push the switch towards the back of the printer, you're now unlocked.
