The player says it's opening and closing, but it doesn't. It also says it's loading, but it doesn't. It's not turning at all when I try to switch to different discs. I tried unplugging the player for several moments to reset it, but that didn't work.
I did fix it! The solution turned out to be pretty simple and easy!
Here is how:
1. open the box by unscrewing
2. rotate the multi-DVD holder counterclockwise (the problem was that the DVD spinner under the circuit plate was somehow stuck over the DVD holder)
3. you'll hear a click sound
4. turn it on and the problem solved!

An other's suggestion to "shake it" sounded somewhat low-tech, but in the absence of any "high-tech" suggestion and nothing else working, I shook it around. Now it powers up, opens, closes. Expectations of a long and fruitful usefulness are VERY low.

Inside your player are different sets of rubber belts. one or more of which is broken. the player won't actually recognize the issue and will say it's doing whatever you want it to. seeing as it's a changer you're not gonna be able to just pull it apart in pieces and work it manually like I did with mine (lol). you're just gonna have to break down and either have it fixed or buy another one.
