After formatting once i formated my [email protected] player its showing missing fonts. i can only read some parts in display.. when i tried to reset its showing " i need font download it " how to download the fonts..how to add them to the player?

Have you checked this out with another PC please try this out. In the player gets detected then the fault could be failure or virus in your system. If so use a good antivirus to scan and delete any malwares. you can also restore your PC to an earlier set point. open control panel and use the restore settings if you had set this up earlier. If the same fault is seen on other PC then you might have a program fault in your ipod. Try to repeat the reset / formatting once again hope I could help . Good day

File system error refers to incomplete startup often due to low battery, faulty firmware or not matching files in the player.

When the startup failed try point 1.Resetting and 2.Charging:

1. Try to reset using the reset button hole on the backside (8).
2. Make a connection with the computer and have the device charging for a long period, full load needs 8 hours. Make connection directly to the USB of the computer preferred at the backside of the computer.
When using a laptop see to it that the USB is powered: laptops often switch the USB off going to sleep op hibernate mode.

When this didn't solve the problem, perform a format and reinstall of the firmware, point 4 - 8:
4. Connect the player to the computer and backup your data to the computer using the Windows explorer: copy MUSIC, MOVIE, PHOTO and TEXT directory to a location on the computer.
5. Format the removable disc of the player in Windows explorer.
Check your removable disk having its full memory capacity free after format.
6. Download the firmware for the player: firmware download for MP-610 ( zip file ):

7. Unzip the file: once unzipped there's a pdf instruction added in the zip file how to perform the firmware update.

8. After the firmware reinstallation the player is ready for transferring
data again. Remember the requirements for the format of files that is put on the player.

What format is it encoded it, and can the player use that format?

some MP3 players cant read anything but MP4 files

Just format your player and it should get rid of everything, including the preinstalled junk. Right click 'internal storage' and select format.

try connecting the device to your computer, go to 'start' button, go to 'my computer' right click the 'removable disk' drive, click format, and follow formatting instructions. this will erase all the data on the device, disconnect mp3 player ,reset the device with reset hole on the back of the unit. reset whole actually renews the firmware on it, so it should restore the screen.

Missing Font File Error SOLUTION:

After formatting you can sometimes loose your font file. To replace it simply download the font file from here: http://www.3friends.co.uk/j70/index.php. Then when viewing the folders on your player make sure the 'System' folder is visible (Tools>Folder Options>Do not hide hidden folders). Simply put font file you downloaded into the System folder on your player.
