Try changing the batteries. That camera is a battery driven model and if the batterie go dead it will not shoot or light uop the led's.

Check the aperture lever in the mirror box on the side. sometimes it gets bent when the lens is put on wrong. Straighten with needle nose pliers. Carefully, it will break easily.

I have a Vivitar V2000 and just to be clear, if I want my ISO to be at 100, It needs to be opposite to the little white dot so at ISO 1600?
The ISO settings are designed to be very clear. Place the dot exactly over the top of the ISO you want.

How do I know which ISO to set with the shutter speed?
ISO is the speed rating of the film. Both the film box and the film canister should have the ISO rating printed on them. Normally you would just use that number, unless you specifically want to push- or pull-process the film.

Lift up the film speed ring (around the shutter speed dial) and turn it until 800 is opposite the arrow, then let it drop back into place.
