Question about Pioneer PD-RW839 4-Disc CD Recorder
Pioneer PDR-W839 cd player/recorder with jammed 3-cd changer that automatically activates when unit is powered-on and un- successfully tries to open each tray until it gives up and shows "E2" error code on display. Re this previously posted problem..and a solution post by master "24Seven" advising resetting by insertion of a pin into pinhole on unit..I can't find any such pinhole on the unit's exterior so does anyone know if I need to remove cover and look inside? "24Seven"..hey buddy..are you out there my friend? Need more specific info on where to look for "reset button" so I can give it a try. Thanks to everyone!
This is a common issue with the pioneer changer recorders. Usually stripping the unit and rebuilding the player with the trays re-greased sorts it out unless damage has occured to the trays.

Hello poopig1, after further review, I meant to describe this: look for a pinhole in the area of the CD tray to insert a pin...similar to the same pinhole you see on a PC's cd player to eject the tray manually. If there is none, then try this: Open the cover and find the motor that, when turning, performs the tray ejection. Then, turn that motor by hand until the entire tray (or cartridge) is ejected. Then power up and observe the events.
