Question about Estate TEDX640JQ Electric Dryer
Kenmore electric dryer light is on in tumbler. When I push start button nothing happens. I checked my breaker and connections all look fine. I replaced dryer with a used Gibson electric dryer worked great for about 2 weeks and same thing happened. I push the start button and it clicks over to the timer switch but tumbler does not turn. I know what your thinking, breaker or bad outlet connections. That is not it everything looks good at the box and outlet. Jimbob.

The belt snapped...they sell on ebay for about 10 bucks.

Try turning the drum by hand...is it jammed? if not, then: the motor will not turn due to a number of reasons: 1.) simply burned out copper windings 2.) switch not turning on motor or not turning on motor starting circuit-depending on design ...if jammed, then try to find the interference to turning

sound like you have a whirlpool or kenmore dryer and if so you have a bad microcomputer and if it is one on those then send me the model and serial number from inside the door on the sticker and i will see which part you need and if i may have one myself to help you out / larry

Hi, above is a service manual, download, this has all troubleshooting and repair advice. Follow the troubleshooting procedure and you will soon isolate your problem, and hopefully fix.

SOURCE: Dryer will not fire.
then it must be either in the switch or the motor has burned out is the heating coil heating though the barrel isnt turning ??

My estate electric dryer is about a year old. I went to press the start button but nothing happened could you please tell me what could the problem be?
I have a kenmore 80 series quiet pak dryer, when I push the start button...the buzzing sound starts but the dryer wont spin?
Won't start, before it stoped working it would continue to run after it was turned off. I replaced the thermal fuse but it still does not turn on.
WILL NOT START
when i turn on the on button it tries to start but won't.. then i try again and the on button just clicks
