Question about Durabrand DWT2405 24" TV
I just bought a used standard CRT TV off of eBay, 23" Durabrand for 20 bucks. (I only bought it cause it was such a sweet deal and I'll need a TV for school anyway) Anyway, it is sold "as-is"--and the glass picture tube itself doesn't seem to be staying in place inside the frame. Like, if you put the TV down in the standard upright position, the glass tube falls backward at the top(seems to hold fine at the bottom), leaving a good 2 inch gap between the glass tube and the frame. I turned it on and seems to work fine, the glass tube just doesn't stay right up against the frame as it should. I'm just wondering what the problem might be. Should I assume something got knocked out of place during shipping? If so, would it be an easy repair to just open it up and reattach the tube to the frame? Thanks in advance,
A very good chance this tv was dropped or bumped. Sounds like the internal plastic frame is broken and will not support the picture tube. Find someone with tv experience to fix this. I would suggest they use a putty found at an auto parts store. To glue the tube and the frame together. This putty is in a plastic tube. You tear off a piece and fold it several times to activate. It will surely do the job.

The plastic internal frame housing is loose [tighten screws] or broken. Have someone with tv experience open up and look inside. Chances are this tv was dropped or bumped. The plastic corners are broken. Go to an auto parts store and get this putty that is in a plastic tube. You tear off a piece and fold several times to activate......this is very effective and will work. Try it and see.
Chances are your tv was dropped. Have someone with tv experience open it up. If the screws are loose..tighten. If it is broken..Go to the auto parts store and buy a putty that is in a clear plastic tube. Tear off a piece and fold several times to activate.....this will be effective to permanently glue the tv back inside the frame. Good Luck!

I decided to open it up. It was an easy fix. Just had to lift off the back and tighten the screws that connected the picture tube to the frame.
