Question about RCA HD61LPW164 61" Rear Projection HDTV
I have had my television for about a month and everything has worked fine. Yesterday I switched the channel over to VID2 which is where it has always been for the DVD player, but instead of my DVD I get whatever channel I was on with the audio of the DVD player. Also if I change to VID1 or Front the televsion picture is on instead of a blank screen. Any idea what might have caused this, and is there a way to fix it without new parts? Any information would be very much appreciated. Thank You! -Jeremy Hester
SOURCE: Integrated DVD player
If your handy, then try to disassemble the DVD .player from the unit and manualy clean the lens assy, but please be aware of the HI Voltage dangers inside of a tV set. if your not then Please call a pro top assist you with this repair. If the units not worth fixing then simply buy and inexpensive DVD player/recorder and hook it up via the external inputs. Good Luck

The component connections are usually video only and the audio goes to separate connectors set aside for that input. Check your manual to make sure you have all the connections made.

remove the speaker grille. then there should be a few screws running along the bottom of the screen frame. after removing those screws slide the entire fram up to release the hooks that hold the screen frame to the cabinet. Be careful and unhook the wire clip from the front control panel once the screen frame is loose before you stretch the wires.
