I set the INPUT to INPUT 2 but when I change channels it will not stay there. How do I lock it into place? Also, how do I set the clock on the TV? I used the menu, went to D.S.T and SET CLOCK, but at that point what do I do?

THE CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR FEATURES ON THE REMOTE THAT IS NOT COVERED IN THE INSTRUCTION BOOK. NOTHING IS MENTIONED CONCERNING HOW TO SET THE CLOCK OR HOW TO SET THE INPUT AND HAVE IT STAY THERE.

Your not saposed to use your tv remote to change chanels if you put it on input 2, im assuming you have a cable box, that is plugged into input 2, and if you are using the cable remote, after you put the tv on input 2, make sure you push the little cable buttom at the top of the remote befor you change the chanel

Program Lock
Input the default password of 1235, the submenu
of Parent will display if the password is correct.

(a) When changing the password, the changed
password will be updated after four digits are input.
The word "ok" appears after you input the same
number twice, if the two passwords are different the
word "Failure" will appear.

(b) When All Clear is selected, all programs are unlocked.

(c) After you exit from the Program Lock menu and switch to a locked channel, the picture and
sound will be locked unless you input the correct password. The channel will remain unlocked
until the TV is turned off. After the TV is turned on again, the password must be re-entered to
view the locked channels again.

(d) If your program is locked, input the correct password to enter the Auto Search submenu.
Operating Auto Search will cancel the locked status.

(e) The default password is always effective.

(f) Entering the default password allows you to go to the Program Lock menu, then change the
password while the default password is still effective. This branch menu cannot be entered if a
wrong password is keyed in, In this case, press MENU to return to the previous menu.

(g) There will be slight delays while using the Lock All and Clear All functions.

● Child Lock
In Child Lock On mode, the buttons on the TV do not work. A prompt "Panel buttons are being
locked" will be displayed. However, the remote control buttons will still function. When the TV is
on and the Child Lock is on, a prompt "Locked, power off after 6s" will appear. Use the remote
control to control the TV. Otherwise, the TV will automatically enter into Standby mode.

Having trouble with setting your Parental Controls (V-Chip)?
The factory preset password is 0000. This password must be used first before setting your own personal password. It is recommended that you keep your personal password in a safe place and away from children. In the event you loose your personal password the master password is 8202. The master password overrides all passwords. The master password can't be changed and should be kept in a safe place away from children.

Okay, does this tv have a built in DIGITAL tuner? Most tv's only have an analog tuner. You can tell the difference while you are changing the channels. If the channel indicates 2.1 or 2.2 and so forth, it is on a digital channel mode. If you change the channel and it indicated 2, 3, 4, etc. it is analog. If it has digital capability change the input until you see 2.1, 3.4 etc. If you cycle through all the inputs on the tv like, input 1 (TV) input 2(DVD) input 3(HDMI) and so forth and you never see the digital channel you most likely do not have a digital tuner. You will need to purchase a digital converter which will convert it to analog and you can watch it by placing you tv on analog channel 3 just like the old vcr's. You are probably talking about the main menu that appears when the TV is taken off the AC power outlet, to get rid of this page just turn the tv off and on again and it should give you access to what ever channel was tuned before, if your game console has an RF out, your TV should be set to channel 3 ir 4, if the console has composite outs the change the channel until the TV goes to Aux in or Video in. Retrevo.com has an instruction manual available which you can download free, just in case you need more informantion, if the channel keys do not work, then you may have to get a universal remote ,they are fairly inexpensive and will come in very handy at least for the basic functions or just have theTV worked on.

How do you fix this problem, a blue screen comes up saying CHANNEL/CLOCK AUTO SET Connect antenna cable and if you use a cable box, tune it to your local pbs ch then... please press ch up key - i dont use...

it sound like your blue background is on! I not familiar in your t.v. model but try to turn off the blue background in channel settings I think!

Child Lock is on and I am second owner of tv with no code

This function will block out the picture and sound of the selected channel or video input.
It can also be used to keep the TV from being viewed for a scheduled time period that you set.
The code to enter the Locks feature is a four digit secret code number. The factory preset code is 0000.
Use the number buttons to select access code.

Use CURSOR G or H to highlight function and then press the SELECT button.
To change the access code number, select Change Access Code. Enter a new four digit key number you prefer.
Select CHANGE ACCESS CODE to change factory preset code (0000) to your preference.
When ENGAGE LOCK is selected, SET CHANNEL LOCK, SET INPUT LOCK, and SET FRONT PANEL LOCK can be set individually.
When SET CHANNEL LOCK is turned on, the picture and sound for the chosen channel will be blocked out.
When SET INPUT LOCK is turned on, the picture and sound for all video inputs and the picture and sound for channels 3, 4 will be
blocked out.
When FRONT PANEL LOCK is turned on, all buttons on the Front Panel will be deactivated, except the Power button.
When TV TIME LOCK is turned on (r TIME LOCK) you can set the BEGIN and END times (CURSOR E) and the TV
cannot be viewed during that time period (Set clock first). Use CURSOR G or H to highlight ONCE (TV will time out one time
only), DAILY (TV will time out every day), WEEKLY - SUN~WEEKLY - MON (TV will time out one time a week) or OFF (to disable
this function).
When MOVIE RATINGS is selected, you can block various types of movies and video tapes based on motion picture ratings. Picturein-
Picture will also be blocked automatically (see page 45).
When TV RATINGS is selected, various types of television programming based on a parental guide ratings will be blocked.
Picture-in-Picture will also be blocked automatically
If you forget your secret code, use the factory code 7777 to erase your key number. This will reset the secret code number back to the
factory preset 0000.
Press EXIT to quit the menu.
