Question about Compaq Armada M700 Notebook
Check first if the CPU is working by connecting an external monitor. Do not forget to activate the external monitor connection (function keys). If the computer works llike this, then the monitor is probably defective. If it did not work, dont waste effort in checking the LCD.

blank absolutely. like if it were a desk top and the monitor wasn't plugged in.

it is not a totay blank screen it is ery dim i pluged a montor in to it ad it working fine but screen on laptop still dim
