Question about NEC PowerMate ES SlimLine PC Desktop
Hi, I have an NEC Powermate (ES slimline), when I try to start the machine the green power light comes on and the orange (to tell you the hard-disc is doing something) light flashes as does the cd drive light but the computer won't start. Any suggestions? I have tried unplugging the machine and starting from scratch but it doesn't seem to matter. It did this before but worked after several attempts - I have now been trying the machine for 4 1/2 hours but to no avail. Any suggestions would be most appreciated - thank you for your time. Pam
Can you tell me a little more? Do you mean windows wont start? Do you hear any beeps when computer is booting up? Does the computer go to a prompt screen? Email me @ [email protected] if u still need help.

HI, I recently moved across the country and after having set up my PC again I'm having a problem. When I turn the power on the status light for the monitor stays orange (it usually turns green and the monitor powers up). The tower seems to be running fine, I can hear the cooling fans and there is the normal light that flashes at random intervals like normal, but the monitor doesn't respond. And then when I turn off the tower the status light (which stays solid when tower is on, flashes during Sleep and is off when tower shuts down) stays on. What does this mean, any ideas as to whats wrong?
