A PDF file can be placed in any folder on your computer and opened with a PDF viewer like Adobe Reader. You can convert a PDF to a document (DOC) file but you cannot open a PDF file with a document editor like Microsoft Word. please install all the fonts . On the"stupid" computer you don't have the exact font ...Save the fonts from the wise PC and copy to the stupid one. It make it wiser . :P . Usually fonts are found in folders named "fonts". Windows, Office and Abby Reader are using large collections of fonts.

If you are using MS Word 2007/2010, you could direcly save as PDF format.
